Crazy Americans >> Over here seven hours of a car drive takes you through two countries. *ponders developing a disease that would give all of you an unresistable urge to come and visit a small postsoviet country which is still loaded with commies, russians and otherwise crazy people* Hunty...that just sounds like the perfect place for me @____@ Throw in a couple of abandoned Missile Silos, and I'm in. Hrm, the relatively notorious small town where they kept nuclear waste a few decades ago and possibly still do is about one and a half hour's drive from my hometown. Military bases and stuff are more towards western Estonia though... went there this summer. Underground bombshelters and junk. And some broken radio stations and stuff... and the whole island had these, infact, it was still the western border of the Soviet Union. .....booking plane tickets yet? xD |

*nod* If this one war had gone the other way, the state I live in might be an independent country and instead of speaking English we'd all speak French or a Native American dialect. That's what my US History teacher was saying the other day, anyway... There are a lot of little things that, if one of them had turned out differently, the country would be very different. |

Mmhmm. *nods* Which is why alternate worlds would be very different. Because if, say, the French & Indian war went the other way and the French and the Indians won, not the English, then this area might be broken up into littler countries, and then the USA wouldn't exist really and wouldn't be a powerful country and whatnot, and that would definitely affect the course of history... |
