I did check it I did, but however... it never got finished, so I attempted to finish it here...needless to say... I'll change the thread to stop the whining It did get finished. It just ate all traces of that. So then we moved on then. Nyeh. However, I'm not whining. I'm just pointing out your lack of ability to count. That's just who I am. No need to get all defensive about your lack of counting abilities in Latin.

Wow, maybe by finished you mean eating itself, which... by the looks of it... is quite probable. I WAS going to bump it, and then... kinda realized it was locked. MOMMY NEVER TAUGHT ME TO COUNT IN ENGLISH, DID YOU EXPECT MY ROMAN TO BE BETTER??

Unfortunately I never did learn the number that comes after M.
So the highest I can count to in Latin is MMMCMXCIX

Just wondering, because potentially you could reuse the old ones to keep ascending, however trend dictates that there would be a different numeral after that. Yo, time to get ready for work. Have fun

Actually I googled an answer:
"Larger numbers were indicated by putting a horizontal line over them, which meant to multiply the number by 1,000. Hence the V at left has a line over the top, which means 5,000. This usage is no longer current, because the largest numbers usually expressed in the Roman system are dates, as discussed above."
