**hands you a bottle of Nyquil** Me thinks you are taking this topic a wee bit too seriously. No, it's simply insulting to me when people sit there, claim that such things like this are fake with only "opinions" and no education or experience on the matter. Especially when I know they'd be livid about their own hobbies being attacked in such manners as this by other people. Hypocrisy is one of those things I have a major pet peeve of.

Hypocrisy makes the world go round, I not know a single person who is not a Hypocrit in one way or another. Me included of course.

Bleh... One reason I got rid of cable all together is because of reality television. It's brain garbage at its worst (Or finest, whichever you see fit). I hate Fear Factor most of all. Every time I go into my friend's dorm and we're randomly channel surfing it's always on...always. Oh goody! Someone's eating a still-born duck embryo! Now that's entertainment!
If anything, I agree with what Buddy said. They're probably real situations, but they're all edited to change views and perceptions. It's done in practically every other television show, so why not reality ones? But I can't make a decent opinion on it, because I don't watch it. So everything I say is pure speculation.

Eating bugs is not facing a fear. It's just stupid/gross. I mean, I've eaten bugs before, but they were cooked and seasoned. Lol. I think my main irk about all reality television is that if I really wanted to see all that stuff I could just get some binoculars and peek into my neighbor's window. It's just cameras stuck into other people's lives....and I really don't care about how other people live. I've got my own life to worry about. *is actually procrastinating on a Writing Seminar paper due in 14 minutes*

I always have my headphones and music.

As bad as reality shows have gotten, I am tempted to offer my writing services to networks, for free...

I thought that was in reference to me bashing Reality TV. Eh, no, you didn't touch the shows I like. I think it's wrong, though, how some people give a blanket statement about reality TV as if they're all the same when it's hardly true at all. Only reality shows I've ever enjoyed: Survivor, The Amazing Race, and The Mole

I always thought fear meant doing things you'd be scared about. Like, climbing some way tall building on some rickety scaffolding or jumping off a tower or being shoved in the middle of the plains with lightning crashing all around your tent..stuff like that. I don't think eating brains or bugs or cow anus is fear. Gross out to the max, big time, but I wouldn't say I'd be scared to do it. Grossed out puking and being afraid of something are two different things. They should change that name to The Giant Gross Out or something
