The NTWF is full of insanity There are constantly silly, joking boards where people go all-out nuts and have fun. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as it doesn't spill out much around where it's supposed to be (namely the Splatterboard).
The Discussions and Debates board is one that this craziness should really not mark on their itinerary. This is a place for everyone to get in their opinions and facts, and have real conversations about important, interesting, or controversial issues.
And here's really the point of this thread: confusing the Off-Topic board with D&D. You can have discussions in both.. But different kinds. Take the fun, preference-based boards to Off-Topic, whereas the threads about things that need some serious thought-- they can stay. Is that sort of clear?
If it's still muddy... Think of television. Or, say, The OC. Me posting a thread here on whether or not people think Marissa's character is too flaky will just have the topic moved. That sort of thing belongs in Off-Topic.
