Do you like Gwen Stefani's new look ? I mean, in her new music video.
Well... it certainly is a departure. If you compare this to such videos as "I'm just a girl" when she was performing with No Doubt, it's very different. (The band is still together) This video reminds me more of her fantasy videos, such as "Don't Speak", which was kind of in a fantasy setting, or "Ex-Girlfriend", which was fantasy in an awesome kick-a** way!
But this is fantasy to the extreme. The song is great. The lyrics have no meaning, and neither does the video, but it's all just so fantastical and beautiful, lively colors, that you don't really notice that (then again, i just did).
I like it. It's different. It reminds me of "Alice in Wonderland", it seems to be a lot like this. And the song is incredibly catchy. My favorite part of the video is when we see the cute little bunny hopping towards her (that's so cute!) and my favorite part of the song is the part where she says: "Look at your watch now, you're still a super hot femae, you've got your million dollar contract, and they all want you hot track!" For some reason I'm addicted to that part.
If you have not yet seen the video, go to vh1.com or mtv.com and you can find it there.

Heh. I just watched that video today, my friend is an Alice in Wonderland obsessed fashion major so she really liked the video. I think the costumes are gorgeous. Outside of the fantasy part, Gwen is looking a lot like the lead singer of Blondie.
The song is alright, but I really liked the costuming of that video. The direction was alright, and I liked how they used Wonderland themes that aren't often touched on like the piglet and the white rabbit's house.
I really, really, love Alice in Wonderland.

It's pretty good; you can tell she's trying to be unique and artistic. The song isn't too catchy for me, but has a cool feeling to me. I personally think she's not going to defeat Beyonce as being a more succesfull solo-artist.

*Has a thing for Gwen Stefani so cannot contribute anything that helps. Likes the look though.* ... *Also likes Beyonce* XD Well, Beyonce IS drop-dead gorgeous, and one of the few pop singers today who has a decent amount of intelligence. Amazing singer, too. I'm quite fond of her. I haven't seen Gwen Stefani's new look (and I'm too lazy to do so now), but I've always liked her looks as a whole - very original and creative. I've always liked her wild spirit. And of course, like me, Rishiy likes them for stunning inner beauty, right? ^_~

I didnt know Beyonce was intelligent. No, seriously. I have not been given any proof that she is smart. Most pop stars these days are materialistic and very snotty, and usually, staying on topic here, not very bright. They know what 2 + 2 is, but they are stuck up and don't really think about engaging in a decent conversation.
But Beyonce is a brilliant singer.

I would say a good deal of popstars and such run their own businesses. Kanye West, Ludacris and Eminem have their production labels... Beyonce, JLo and Britney Spears all have clothing lines they run on their own... Nearly ALL of them completed school be it while on the road (Missy Elliot), or from home because of problems at school (Christina A)... Except for kanye West whos album is not called 'The College Dropout' for nothing. And anyhoo... Even if this is all bunk and I'm just rambling because this it's late night, there are other kinds of smarts than book smarts, and I think some people would do well to remember it. And yes... Inner beauty *cough*...
