I mean, it's not that Neopia's THAT insane, even if it is fictional. People can still make funny comics, and not be all be on the same subject!

Well, I agree there are several articles related to insanity each week, but it's not like every one of them is... I guess it's just many people ejoys writing/reading them. The Neopian Times is great because we can express ourselves in our own insanity, and there are not many places like that. Neopia is not that insane, but Neopians are <-- that's just a joke, not all are. XDD  |

Writing insanity articles, I think is the current article trend. I think just like the list article trend there was more recently.

I was kind of exasperated with the Insanity thing in almost everything. I've used the Random Insanity for the name of my comic for quite a long time. None have been published until now though. But hopefully it will blow over.

Writing insanity articles, I think is the current article trend. I think just like the list article trend there was more recently. I'm glad it's dying down a little bit now. I spent months trying to finish a top 101 article, and then when I finished, I saw that everybody was sending in list after list... do you have any idea how depressing that is? >_<;; Ahem, ranting aside, yeah, there is a bit too much random insanity everywhere. I think people really need to realize that saying something completely random is not inherently funny. It just isn't. Deal with it. **casts a murderous look at the Splatterboard** Gah. |

Well, the list trend reigned supreme mainly in articles, and I don't visit those often. This insanity trend, however, is all over the comics, and I look at EVERY COMIC. Ahem, ranting aside, yeah, there is a bit too much random insanity everywhere. I think people really need to realize that saying something completely random is not inherently funny. It just isn't. Deal with it. **casts a murderous look at the Splatterboard** Gah. Someone agrees with me!  |

I assume it's a fad now to have words like: random, crazy, insane, nuts, lunatic, insanity, mental... and so on, in the comic title. I think maybe because a lot of comics are named like that, other people jump on the bandwagon too.

Mostly I attribute everything being 'insane' to the fact that in most little internet circles it's 'cool' to be insane. Of course the term is used to DEATH, but a lot of people think insanity is funny or clever, and so they have to budgeon every joke out of it. ^_~

I hadn't seen any with the title like mine before I sent it into the NT... And much more recently... I've seen a lot of Insanity, or Insanely in the title... Confused me at first... I thought they had renamed my title but then was like, "They said they had to many good entries" But you are right.... like Luna, I've had my comic title for awhile, it's just that it was first accepted in Issue 150 something or other...
Edit: And I was thinking of changing the title... but then it wouldn't make since, after three already in, it just sticks... for me at least... But the comics usually aren't Random. Er... I don't think so at least... 0.o I hope I didn't just dig a hole deeper for me...
