Heh...anyway, yeah, it is at least good practice if nothing else; for me, it's helping me to build confidence in my writing and sort of get opinions from the "average reader"--assuming that all those chatspeak-obssessed Neopians are average readers.

Maybe you could write a Neopian story and then somehow convert it into an Earth fantasy...but I don't know about copyrights and so forth, so maybe not.

Congrats, Ducky! ;D I've used my Neopets experiences for English papers; maybe with more pieces published, in a while they'll be good for resumes too.

Same here. The first week after my comic was first published I kept finding map pieces and codestones.

I prefer hiding my comics from my friends/family because they tend to think neopets is a tad lame. Other than that, I've gotten GREAT practise with my writing and art.

So much, in fact, that I soon will not need it anymore. Scary thought...
