I liked the old one.
The new one just screams "photoshop filter!"...or in your case..."gimp filter!"=) The font is also difficult to read...(and I've never been a big fan of blatantly decorative fonts as text)
Besides, I like the animation, and opacity change in the old one. Simple, but classy.

Yes, I don't like the new avatar myself, but I just wanted to see if anyone could figure out what was wrong with it *or* if it was just me. Thanks!

Yep. Having your face "etched" in metal, or frozen in Carbonite just doesn't do you justice.

I like the old one. Mostly because Krawks are spiffy. ^_^
In all honesty, the old one just has more color, and I like color. The other one is just a solid color, font is a tad hard to read, and it dosen't have much to do with the New Years...
But I have a sick fondess for blueKrawks.

Hee, yeah, the old one has more colour and has more to do with the forums. I guess you can put up the new years one until New Years, but you know.

Say, I want a new avatar but I'm not sure how. Let me guess, just be sure. I copy the code of the picture I want, then I go to profile and paste. But does it have to be a certain size? And where is the code for a picture? Do I just copy the picture?

I will now post a step by step guide to getting your own avatar. First, stick an image somewhere one your computer where you'll find it. Then, go to a website like boomspeed.com or imagemagician.com and upload you image. Next, go to profile. On the thingy where you can change your avatar, there's a box for your own piccie. Copy the URL from wherever you uploaded the image into that box and then save your profile modifications. Now you have a new piccie!

You should have an account at one of those server sites first. And some don't allow linking. That is why I use my paid account as opposed to the free one.

*JUMPS UP AND SCREAMS* BOOMSPEED ALLOWS IMAGE LINKING FOR AUCTIONS ONLY. AVATARS HAVE *NOTHING* TO DO WITH AUCTIONS! BOOMSPEED.COM WILL DELETE IMAGES IF YOU LINK THEM TO SOMETHING NON-AUCTION - IT SAYS SO RIGHT THERE AT boomspeed.com/terms.htm - USE IMAGEMAGICIAN OR RANCHOWEB INSTEAD. Sorry about the shouting, but I've seen so many people blindly recommending Boomspeed without reading the donna-darned terms and conditions. You don't have to read it word for word, but you should at least know the general contents. Sheesh, if stupid morons would read the terms before signing up on a website then there would be a lot less account freezings on Neopets... and if people would read a guild's rules before joining and, even better, if they knew they wouldn't follow the rules and just not join the guild in the first place, then being a guild administrator would be ten times easier. But then of course we all make stupid mistakes, so no hard feelings Iluvpuppies

So first, I have to give my mom a pic that I want to use so she can scan it and then send it to me. But, wouldn't it already have it's own code? And what if I want to use something from another site, like your Hubrid Nox? Am I asking way too many questions? Should I be quiet now?

That's okies, Sara. Me no uses Boomspeed anymore anyways. It annoys me.
If you want a piccie from Neopets then you can right clickie it and click properties and it'll have the URL. At least on my puter. No, you're not asking too many questionses. It's not really a code. Just the webbie address of where the piccie is.
