Thank you for this one! So engaging, amazing art, and it renewed my interest in topography. Made my bookmarks list instantly....after I read it two times through. xD

I recently fell in love with a comic called White Noise. To quote the author:

www.seraph-inn.com;~; She totally pulled a great prank on us too, which is equally, "OHWOW THAT WAS A GREAT PRANK!!! =DDD" and "How could you be so cruuuuueeeel!?" at least in my perspective. She was putting a mock-serious post up about how she was going to be redoing Inverloch, and... ;~; I loved the idea! The comic would be so much better now that she's more used to storytelling and has better art-stuffs and... ;~;

My best Neofriend and I are both completely hooked on Skin Horse. It's the adventures of a government department created to liaise with non-humans, and its very strange employees. The characters are some of the most unique I've seen, the storylines are intriguing and the humour makes me giggle. (Warnings for safety's sake: Non-explicit sexual references, occasional strong language, cartoon violence, and very dreamy non-conformation to gender norms.)

Sabrina Online is a comic that I occasionally read. About a skunk named Sabrina who works as a graphic designer for an adult entertainment company's website. XD (PG-13. It doesn't have anything explicit.)

Both have been mentioned before, but: Based on my recent avatars (including this one), it probably goes without saying that my favorite webcomic is Gunnerkrigg Court. xD Very well-thought-out story, interesting and likable characters, and beautifully drawn backgrounds and overall artwork that keeps improving. ...Although, on the topic of "improving artwork", you really can't go without mentioning Questionable Content. The comic has been running for a while, and it's definitely improved over that time. I mean, just look at how it has evolved. ...Yeah, that number of potholes is necessary. The strip is looong. I'm going through an archive binge at the moment and I'm only in the mid-400s. It's worth it, though--while there are some jokes I don't get (usually due to cultural references with which I'm really not familiar), in general it's a very funny and enjoyable strip. =D There is some drama in it, though, particularly around strip 500. (Or so I heard. Not up to there yet.) (PG-13. It does contain some inappropriate language, with two or so NSFW strips...out of 1,675.)

Double post, but it's for a good cause. xP A friend of mine has just started up a webcomic. It's titled The Lost Ages of Astaran, and it can be found here. I know little about the story apart from that it has fantasy in it. An update can be expected once a week, and there are just a couple pages up so far. Still, plug plug plug webcomic plug. =D Give it a try.

Lately I've been reading a webcomic called Ron Planet. It's set in 2040, when Astronauts have become obsolete to computers and robots, and now pretty much only exist to do janitorial work in space. The comic centers around Ron Planet, an astronaut that's called in to do one last job on the moon by the sad shell of an organization that is 2040's NASA. It's made by the guys behind Homestar Runner, and it's hilarious. I think this one quote pretty much sums it up: "Ron Planet: There in case shooting missiles at the moon is a really dumb idea."

Please check out these comics. I cannot do them justice with my descriptions.
xkcd.com
Occasionally has some not completely safe content/talk, but is safe most of the time. A new comic every monday, wednesday, and friday. It has a bunch or random things, most relating to either science, math, real life, or something similar.
lfgcomic.com
The characters look like they are from WoW, but they are not. It is extremely funny I think. There is some violence, but that is it.

I'd like to plug my own, brand new sprite comic, Mushroom Kingdom Zombie Apocalypse. Basically exactly what it says in the title, MKZA is a sprite comic based on the first Super Mario Bros game, but with zombies! Around PG and/or PG-13, for cartoon fantasy violence and some mature themes such as death and zombification.

Thought I'd throw in a few, in no particular order (other than the order I opened them in the other window). Each link leads to the first page of the comic. Kinnari - This comic is early in and the writer is slow to reveal what's going on, so all I really know about the plot so far is that it's about a girl that's yet to learn how to use her powers, and her teacher, who knows about as much about her as she does. An interesting thing about it is that the writer is from India (or at least knows a lot about it), and is tying in a lot of their mythology and such, so you learn a few things about India along the way. Some language and violence. Fried Chicken and Sushi - Apparently based off a true story, FC&S is another newer comic that's about a black guy (that's the term the comic uses, BTW) who applies to be an English teacher in Japan. The comic is largely about cultural aspects of Japan, learning to live in a culture that's very different from what you're used to, as well as how people may react to an 'outsider' (so to speak). Lint - A completed comic. The author describes Lint as a way to express her 'love-hate relationship with fantasy,' and I think she pulled it off well. There are some classic fantasy elements in it, but she intentionally picked unusual characters (which vaguely remind me of stuff we'd make up here at NTWF) and more-silly places and events to tell an enjoyable not-quite-orthodox story. Naturally, it includes violence, and I believe some swearing. Moderately-long, you could probably finish it in a day or two. Dr. Sheep and the Aardvark - Another completed comic. At this point, the author is basically updating by putting the old comics up again. DSatA is a cute, clean webcomic about a city of sheep that gets a strange new resident. Aardvark has lost his memory, but that doesn't get in the way of his silliness (if anything, it makes him sillier). A joke at the end of every comic, so it mostly keeps a light tone. Short-ish, could probably be completed in a sitting. Garanos - Currently the last completed webcomic on my list. Garanos is a serious, fantasy webcomic that also strays from the norm in ways. It starts with a warrior girl who stops by a town that's so small that it isn't even on the map. Because the community is self-contained, they have trouble accepting their new guest. After that... Well, I'm not sure how to describe the plot without spoiling it. One thing that I (and also Bacon) found interesting is how the art style strongly resembles Strife's while somehow being very different. Some language along with violence. Could be completed in a sitting. Freefall - Freefall is a long-running comic with a big archive. It takes place on a planet that humans are terraforming, though the two main characters are a genetically modified wolf and a squid-like alien that honestly believes a life of scavenging is the proper way to live. Supporting characters include a few colonists, a computer out to kill it's captain, and a bunch of robots. Fairly intellectual with a joke in every comic, it is somehow funny while still remaining serious (in a way that I think many forumers will enjoy). Purposefully kept PG, there are, like, three occurrences milder swear words early on, there's little-to-no violence, and while there are a few occurrences of Florence (the wolf) having to take her clothes off, the artist makes sure to keep her modest (a lot more so than many comic artists - he tries to not even get to the 'pushing the limits' line, from what I can tell).

I actual favorite webcomic's rather uhhh... Let's say it has some nudity. I don't know how to go about that. Anyway, I love reMIND. There are some grammatical errors here and there, but the style is very refreshing and interesting.

Re-pimpage! My sis's comic, Pompfiction, just hit its one-year mark! She's just finished a third story-arc, and this week starts her fourth. And while I should warn you that her comic strips are pretty crude (*big sister disapproval D8*), her main stories have been safe, I think. :3 Maybe PG-13ish? Basically, it's a story with 50s greaser possums/rats/mice, who run a garage. (Even though she hasn't gotten to the garage part. :B) There are dances and a funeral and gayness at a junk yard. Huzzah! So, she's got a story-arc that updates every Friday, gag strips that update every Wednesday, some quirky comic collaborations that update every Monday, an art gallery with over 100 images, and an Oekaki board. (Not too shabby after only a year. She's a drawing fiend, I swear)
