I mean, I think they want me to overacheive (spelling...)... Or maybe it's just that they expect too much of me. Eh, it's a hard knock life for me... (and anyone/everyone else)

I know how you feel. I'm always expected to overachieve and it's really annoying and stressful.

*giggles* I expect me to over achieve and my mom tries to get me to slack off once in a while.

*giggles* I expect me to over achieve and my mom tries to get me to slack off once in a while. Lucky. I expect myself to overachieve and my parents do too, which makes for a very hectic exstence sometimes. I hate being a perfectionist. I wish I could change it.

*giggles* I expect me to over achieve and my mom tries to get me to slack off once in a while. Same. I know they want me to do well in school, but I do push myself harder than I need to. I wish I could be as relaxed as they are and not go into hysterics when I bomb a test... they don't need to tell me I did badly because I do all the beating up on me myself.

I thought for so long that I was the one pushing myself and my parents were happy with whatever I got. Until I realized it was my mom.

...they don't need to tell me I did badly because I do all the beating up on me myself. I'm like that more often with my art than with my school work... I beat up on myself when I do any drawing/sketch/thingy, even if it's good.... I did a scratchboard (ink that you scratch off of hard, white paper) that was really good, and I beat myself up with the smallest details... Maybe I should scan the monkey in sometime....maybe when I scan in my comic... *zooms off to the scanner*

I did a scratchboard (ink that you scratch off of hard, white paper) that was really good, and I beat myself up with the smallest details... That sounds familiar as well, with schoolwork, drawing, writing, and almost everything I do. As I said, I hate being a perfectionist.

I hate being a perfectionist. I wish I could change it. Well, if it works, don't fix it. I hate my perfectionist part sometimes, but I owe every good grade I've ever gotten to him. Thank you perfectionist, even if you will drive me crazy someday.
