This little story starts with yesterday's checking of my email messages. I got this weird email from someone I've never heard of (I deleted the message, so I don't know who it was,) and it had this weird poem in it. My first thought was, "CRAP, IT'S A VIRUS!" And indeed it was. Luckily, my spiffy antivirus program alerted me that it had already taken care of the situation by deleting the file, and after heavy scanning, I discovered nothing was wrong. After that, however, I got about ten more weird messages, and according to Norton AntiVirus, they were ALL infected files, and had all been deleted. So, I decided that was enough email checking for the day. Now, today the SAME THING happened! Around ten odd messages in my email inbox that were all infected, that is. I don't know why I keep getting them, either. I thought I deleted the viruses or whatnot. I don't know how on earth what's-his-face got my email address, but I now know I'm a bit wary about checking my new messages now. I'm getting a new email address, I think. Does anyone know how this may have happened, or what it is? I hate to say I'm a bit worried, but I am.

Peachi, it's prolly just some random weirdo, in all honesty.
When my comic was first put up I recived around 5 e-mail from someone who was using a program to appear as if they had sent mail from support@neopets.com, trying to convince me to download this "powerful tool".
Keep your virius thingy up, maybe even tell your e-mail to block that e-mail... If worst comes to worst, try using a new e-mail address.

The best advice is to find out the email address of the sender and block it. Maybe you should get something like McAfee Spamkiller to assist you.
If worse comes to worse, chunk your computer in the dumpster and move to Australia.

If worse comes to worse, chunk your computer in the dumpster and move to Australia. Efficient. Okay, I got a new email address. The mail is from someone called "Mail Delivery Subsystem" or something like that, and it keeps telling me they're returning mail that I sent and they couldn't deliver--even though I haven't SENT any email for the past few days...

Couldn't you just block them?

Couldn't you just block them? I just said, the person sending the messages is some weird subsystem, not an email address. I can't block it, I don't think. I'll have to look into it.

I would also suggest telling your computer to block that e-mail address. If that doesn't work, change your e-mail. But there's just one question: WHat did you do on the internet that day besides checking your e-mail?

I just went to the forum, and I think I also visited a few livejournal communities. And that was it.
