I'm writing a non-Neopets story. The main character's name is Medra. I want it to be evident from the spelling that it's pronounced MEE-druh, not MEH-druh or however else it might be pronounced, but I also don't want to add any extra letters. Is there anything I could add to the 'e' to do that (like use é or è instead of a regular e)? I'm sorry if this is a silly question, or if I'm being an idiot, or any of the other things I tend to do. It's kinda bugging me

I don't know; when I first saw it, I thought is was pronounced MEH-dra. Sorry.... Although--once, I wrote this story about a person named Aveniah. So people wouldn't be confused with the name Adenia and such and think it was Uh-VEEN-uh, I had one character pronounce it wrong, and then the chracter corrected. I don't know if that would work well in your story, though....

Well, you could always just change the "e" to an "i", because I think it would make more people pronounce it Mee-drah. But "Midra" doesn't really look the same...
I guess you could always just put a straight line over it, like they do in the dictionary, and say that's her name...
