Is there a reason as to why it's that bad on Chrome?

What magic did you use to get Shockwave to work?? OK SO From what I can tell, you need to be running windows 7 ultimate or earlier. This is because you need IE 11, and you can't downgrade IE versions. You could always set up a dual boot system, I'm also currently experimenting to see if a virtual machine will do the trick. I just used my old laptop. From there you need this version of shockwave. You also need to tweak the following settings in IE: - Internet options > Security > Uncheck "protected mode" - Compatibility settings > add "neopets.com" to the list Problem 1, the current neopets layout will likely not display properly and will be slow. I just saved some direct links to the games themselves in a text file and went to those directly after logging in on a non-beta page. Problem 2, Hannah and the Pirate Caves has some odd display issues with this setup, especially if you start trying to tweak the game size by fiddling with the height/width numbers in the address bar. It's still playable, if tiny, when at the defaults. The others seem to work just fine! (Disclaimer blah blah, Flash has always been a security nightmare and you're intentionally using dated software so there's always risks and yeah. idc though VIVA LA HANNAH)

Somewhere around level 170 or so, I figured my Battledome pet would be better off being trained only in level so that I can even out the rest of her stats with one red codestone instead of having to dish out seven/eight regular codestones for Fyora knows how long. And after doing so for a long period of time that I'm unable to give an estimate on (Thanks to hiatuses and me just flat out forgetting to put her back into training), today she finally graduated from the Mystery Island Training School and into the Secret Ninja Training School!

Don't forget to stay at exactly 250 for as long as possible so you can double-dip! (because as annoying as it is to have 8 codestones per session and only once per 24 hours, it's still nice to be able to make it slightly faster and to still have a reasonable use for yellow codestones)

Ooh, I didn't know that. That said, this is the time of year we typically get the annual Faerie Quest event, (Assuming TNT isn't so neck-deep in Flash-related endeavors that they cancel or postpone it) so I can't imagine my pet will be staying at 250 for long. xP (Plus I was planning on either chucking my remaining regular codestones in the volcano or trading them off)

I was just gifted my dream petpet... a Pandaphant. He is (for now... see next part) hanging out with my Christmas vandagyre (why can I never spell that correctly without looking?). I made a board on the HC asking if it was worth it to try to snag one from the official Neopets shop, or if I should just buy from a user, and someone gave me one. Like... wow. Was not expecting that.
So then I've also been thinking about repainting my rainbow quiggle, Mr. Hops a Lot (Mr. Hops for short) and perhaps even changing his species. I asked for suggestions on the help board about other neopets that hop. Someone suggested that it would actually be kind of cute to go the ironic route, and turn him into an elephante. And... I kind of love that idea. But I'm not sold on any of the elephant colors enough to make the leap (haha) If I do, I'd definitely transfer the pandaphant to that one. But for now, he's staying with Joyful, my vandagyre.

Another joke could be a Neopet that flies (Korbat & Pteri come to mind) or swims (Koi). Making it a Koi could even be a subtle Pokemon joke (in Japan the move "Splash" is called "Hop", and of course Magikarp is the most famous "Splash" user, and Magikarp's Japanese name is "Koiking"). Only other thing I could think of (aside from the obvious Nimmo) would maybe be a Neopet based on an animal species which is known to pounce like a Kougra.

Ohhhh my gosh, I literally joked to myself before zapping that, since my labbie is an Aisha, maybe he'll turn alien... And then this happened!
Next question is do I keep him or not, hmm... If there's anyone here who's been wanting an alien, let me know and I'll be happy to give him a home!

The fact that my NT series is nearly 5 years deep in the archives was no obstacle to me receiving fanmail about it recently \^o^/ That's always a nice feeling! Sometimes it's surprising when people tell us they've been digging in the archives for our stuff. I had someone walk up to me and say they read A Hero's Journey - which was published in the 200s - in one sitting. I was equal parts thrilled and embarrassed (because while that series holds a special place in my heart, the writing did not age well oops...I wrote it when I was SIXTEEN).

In my case, receiving fanmail made me overcome old-writing-embarrassment enough to go and re-read my series. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't as embarrassing as I had feared -- there were quite a lot of parts that I enjoyed reading even today =D Btw Kat, I'm impressed with how prolific you are and how you're still writing for the Times *_*

Sometimes it really takes feedback from someone else to make us realize that the work we want to yeet into the ether isn't as yeet-able as we think. And aw, thanks! I actually took a couple of long hiatuses and came out of the second one just last year - only to get slapped in the face by my imagination yelling "HEY KAT so remember these old old old NT ideas you never got to write WELL WRITE THEM NOW YA BIG DOOFUS"

It appears Legends and Letters has reached the end of its life. Sure they said they were going to pull it at the beginning of the year, but it was still pretty much playable, being able to complete the challenges and the like. However, over the weekend, that changed. The challenges are still there, but you can't complete them anymore. None of the achievements register. So I guess it's time to finally hang the game up.
Edit: I take it back. It seems whatever problem they had has been fixed. everything is working again when I decided to test it.
