But technically, when we send in a story to the NT that gets published, we give up legal right to it, and it's officially Neopets'. So all of our characters could be called "site characters," and I'm thinking that Neopets could make our characters into plushies as they please, without asking us. Scary, but also kind of cool. Maybe someday our characters can be plushies. This is true. I was thinking about it after I posted. So yes, it's not that they *couldn't* make plushies of other characters that came only from the NT.... I just don't know if they would. The characters technically belong to them to do what they want with, but they haven't done anything with any of them just yet. I just get the feeling that most of the Neopets team doesn't hold our created characters in the same esteem as *their* created characters (especially since ours can sometimes defy their vision of Neopia.) Still, it is indeed possible that someday they could make plushies out of NT characters... EDIT: and even though they do tell us that we're handing over all of our rights when we submit this stuff, they might still be wary... I don't know-- I can't see into the minds of the Neopets team and probably don't want to.  |

It would cool if they started making NT Character Plushies...  Heh, I'm collecting Dr_Death Plushies too. I would collect something else, but I'm already collecting three things. So no more collecting for me until I find something I like. Donate Spherical Cherries to me! ^^ And Neopian Times Issue 3s! And Dr_Death Plushies that haven't been sent to Karma!  |

I have a Neopian Times Issue 3! But right now neopets is outta order (Hey, neopets isn't a vending machine!!)and I can't fish it out of me shoppe. Argh. I used to have three, and two of them were actually SOLD!! You can also lookie it up in the Shop Wizard... it's probably sold for one NP. And I signed up for a young age so I can't make Neofriends with you anyways... I turn to the trading post!

From what I understand of that, it only means that the staff can do whatever you want with your work, not that you've given up your right to it, too...but I dunno. I'm not a lawyer and don't know one I could ask But it still does mean that they could make plushies of 'em if they wanted to. |
