To answer the questions that cropped up since I posted this and then went to bed with stomach cramps:
1. Yes Miranda and Jessica are friends Real Life as well....Miranda swears up and down Jessica is not this way in person, but for some reason Neopets brings out the very worst in her. I guess I'd have to meet her in person to make my own judgements but on neopets, I clearly do not like her much.
2. Miranda's SN's (this is my little sister, not the tormentor) are soopahfly360 and flame_monkeyz. Jessica's SN since she was "hacked" is artimus_11. Please don't harrass either of them, but you can tell what a hypocrite Jess is by reading her lookup and how much she hates beggars.
3. Funny you should mention that Azzy because I do have a spare purple draik potion that's going up for display in my gallery once I get it all pieced back together. LOL
4. You may have seen xx__neo__xx in the chats, I guess....my sister likes to roleplay and is into the whole "neodating" thing... -.-;; I dunno why. *shrug*

Something about being online makes people feel less prickle in their conscience. It might be all pixels online but there's a human being at the other end who gets hurt when they are scammed or hacked or taken for a ride.
I once gave a stranger an item she needed for a quest, she neomailed me back with a thanks and then she neomailed me again asking if i had another item for another quest she was doing. I told her as politely as i could that i didnt. Then she said never mind and asked me if i had another certain item that she needed for another quest. I got fed up and told her that i didnt have the item and i wasnt a item withdrawal machine and then i blocked her.

It is too difficult that the two are friends in real life.
However, there is stuff Miranda can do, that Jessica can't do much about.
She can pretend that she doesn't want anything, and that she is perfectly happy with what she has. She can also say she doesn't have anything of value. Jessica only knows what Miranda tells her, and if Miranda remains vague and non-commital about what she has, Jess will lose interest.
Miranda is young, and needs help dealing with this in a non-confrontational way. Unfortunately, Jess seems to have all the power in this relationship, and Miranda needs to learn how to be friends and keep her own power.
Definitely your family can help her with strategies, but, a school counsellor can also give her a lot of support.
I don't know how helpful this is, but, I hope it helps a little.

What I find unfortunate (to put my constantly blabbering mouth in this again) is that this is mostly on Neopets. Isn't Neopets a GAME? I said this on another board: if you need to scam other people and cheat to get by on this game, you simply suck at the game. Miranda is so far doing everything in her power, just tell her to stay positive and don't let her let this Jessica person bring her down. (I have no sense of grammar today... bad, considering midterms start on wednesday  ) Oh, and tell your sister she's got the Neopian Times Writer's Forum backing her up the whole way! Maybe someone can write a story about Jessica the conniving Aisha *or whatever species* who kept asking her friend 'insert name here" for things and one day she found that no other neopet was willing to play with her because she treated them all so badly. And then send it to the Times and when it comes out, send her a link ... just an idea.

And then send it to the Times and when it comes out, send her a link ... just an idea. Sounds interesting. But it would be even MORE interesting if it were written by someone Jessica has never met (meaning not Karma). Any takers? |

I'll bet giving Miranda a Krawk neopet would burn Jessica like you wouldn't believe. She wouldn't be able to con Miranda out of it as easily, because the only way one can give a pet to another is through the pound. Also, I would imagine a Krawk in the pound would disappear faster than pizza at a frat party.
Heck, I'd buy the morphing potion for her. It's for a noble cause!

Actually Miranda has a krawk neopet...his name is moon_shadow_Z which she got purely by luck because Sloth gave her a transmogrification potion when she was a newbie. This was, however, before she got Jessica involved with Neopets so understandably, there was no whining or conniving when MSZ was morphed.
From what she tells me. Jessica has tried to wheel and deal her out of MSZ a couple of times, but she's refused to take the bait (for awhile they shared the account he lives on so Jessica could "co-own" him...Miranda ended up locking her out of it after Jessica stole the NP in the bank and tried to blame it on the pant devil 9_9)
To answer the earlier question, if someone wants to write a story like that, you're perfectly welcome, but I'd think it would be a little too direct to name the aisha/kougra "Jessie"....maybe a different name...? I dunno O.o
