Artist, but basically I can be a writer too, it's just I'm too lazy to do both jobs

i dunno, not to offend people. but i prefer people that write and draw their own comics, than have other people to do their work. unless they've been doing the times before for other projects. to me, even if it's the most hideously drawn comic with a good storyline, it's better than a comic that isn't truly yours. but yes.. i dunno, please don't take offence. i just prefer people to do their own work.

Yeah... but if one can't draw and the other can't write it's perfect harmony.

i'm just saying, if you can't do something, learn to. no one can draw perfectly, or write perfectly. so that's why you have to learn. and when people would rather give the task to someone else, they're stunting their creativity by not giving themselves the chance to learn. this is just my opinion, sure, other people may work in different ways, and that's okay.

What if you don't have a scanner though, or even access to one. I know it sounds weird, but I really like writing the comics and seeing Marie bring them to life. And it's done in the real cartooning world too. Ever read "Zits"? It's by 2 cartoonists, not one.

I know it sounds weird, but I really like writing the comics and seeing Marie bring them to life. That's how I feel pretty much. I'm having a lot more fun seeing how other people draw my ideas than slaving over my remedial paint program trying to do it myself. And I don't feel like that's me being lazy or dumping the work off on someone else or that it means the comics aren't "truly mine" because I don't draw them. I write, and I'll stick with that strength. I drew one comic of mine, and yes, I could probably draw more and "learn" but I'd rather have the enjoyment of working with other people and having time to work on other writing projects rather than trying to "learn" something that I have no natural talent for. Anyway, I can certainly see where you're coming from streaming_blue. I guess how you feel about collaboration comics is kind of how I feel about people who enter pictures that were drawn by other users (even with permission) into the Beauty Contest. But at least if you're writing for a comic, you're still contributing to it somehow. Anyway, there's my devil's advocate argument.

Yeah, I'm more of an independant person, but not many people are. So if two non-independant people with different strengths come together, err... then it's all good!

Yeah/ Collab. comics teaches team work, something that's really important. And for those who don't know me neopets screen name, it's 2hot4u181.

OK, I can see streaming_blue's argument on the one hjand, but I can't draw, even poorly. Learn? My 3rd grade teacher advised I learn to type. Now that's a cut and a half, but it's true. My penmanship is atrocious (to put it kindly), and my art is even worse. But I can come up with all KINDS of things between these two pointed ears of mine, and to work with somebody to share those images is something I truly enjoy.
I feel that teamwork can only help improve the overall quality of the NT. And make more available to the readers. The writers and artists for the NT breathe life into a group of pixels and cheesy flash games that make Neopets stand out from the rest of the game sites.
Thanks, I'll shut up for now.
