Hello all! I've had an article held over since early February and I haven't heard anything about it since. Would it be a good idea to resubmit?

So if you get a rejection letter, does that mean droplet has already read it?

It probably would be a good idea, just to make sure it didn't get lost or anything. ^_^ That happens sometimes. So if you get a rejection letter, does that mean droplet has already read it? Yep. You can still resubmit it though. =)

Eight weeks seems a little long - Droplet has said in the past that she doesn't hold anything over unless she plans to use it in the future. So yes, certainly resubmit it. Even if she is still holding it over, it'll give her a polite reminder about it - although, as Squiesh says, something probably happened to it and it got lost.

I got accepted right after I sent in a comic collab, which got held over. Droplet must have remembered me. Yay, thanks!

Oh and I received this: Your Neopian Times submission (Kitchen Troubles) was rejected because it was found to be too wide. The maximum width for a comic is 470 pixels wide. If a comic is too wide and is shrunken down, the text becomes smaller and harder to read. Does that mean I have a good chance of getting in if I fix it?

It just meant that the problem with the comic's wideness stopped Droplet from considering it any further.

Yep. You can still resubmit it though. =) I don't get why it would be accepted the second time... It depends entirely on what you were rejected for. If there's a minor error, you can fix it. And if it was just "there were too many good entries this week"-- the bane of any NT writer's life-- you have every chance of getting back in.

If you get that, it means Droplet just glanced at it. Once you fix it up, Madame Droplet will look further into the actually comic.
Good luck!

The user taz_241590 was wondering about his comic titled "All you have to do is try." It was held over, but he doesn't remember if he specified that it was for issue 350. He wants to know if there's a way of finding out if the comic is being held for that week or a different one. Thanks if anyone can help.

So this is the prestigous Neopian Writers forum I've been hearing about all these years, huh~?
Heya, first post. ^^
I was told a while back that my submission was rejected only because they had too many good entries. I tried again the next week and after nearly a month, was told I was held over. I'm pretty happy- not to mention hopeful- about it! <3
I think they may have cleared it up in the latest version, if you got a different one.
>>>Thank you for submitting to the Neopian Times. Currently your submission (Little Red Riding Faerie) is being held over and may be considered for future publication in the Neopian Times. There is no need to submit your submission again, as it is saved by the editor.
Much clearer, ne~?

I have two stories held over. "Trapped!" and "Just Stats?" are currently held over.

I resubmitted one of my held over stories, and it got through. I guess the Meepits got a hold of that one.
