Hmmm...so my comic was held over (Yahoo?). How long is the average wait, per-say?

Congrats! Well, the average wait is anywhere from 1-4 weeks (at least from my experience) depending on certain factors. If you asked for your comic to appear in the Christmas issue, it probably will, and if not, who knows? Keep in mind that there's a chance (though quite unlikely) that you won't get in at all. But anyway, congrats, and keep drawing/writing!

I'm honestly wondering why my story which was held over, got rejected because they "had too many good entries". Couldn't they just kept it a little longer and saved themselves and me a lot of bother?

Nothing is for sure that it's going to get in.. it's just held to be looked at. ^^ Unless it was a TMGE. Then it might get a bit odd.. but who knows, maybe Droplet had too many helds and needed to reject some to release some stress. Things can pile up. ^^

I don't blame Droplet for sending it but I got kind of ticked off that I was failing to solve the codes and was really annoyed already. Droplet, I don't blame you but the timing couldn't have been worse.

Held over isn't a guarantee, but it's a very good sign. Due to the sheer volume of really cool stuff you guys send in, you might have to wait a while once you're held. But I really try not to hold something unless I'm going to use it. That being said, it's rare to go straight to acceptance without being held first. Oh! Thank you, Droplet. I think you held me over two weeks ago, which means next Friday is my third one. I've been reading the thread and most people said they were held over for one or two weeks, and up to four. Does anyone know how long do average held overs last?

Hoping Droplet will see this...
Ahem. I've got a story held over (Vampirate) but due to an unfortunate incident on the Neoboards, I now have a new account. Since it's going to be my new main, I'd like to resubmit it under that account.
Thank you (:

I have a rather odd question....
You see, recently, I have come off of a writing streak. I sent in three stories within three days, and I already had something held over. For the first two things, I now have held over letters. The third thing... nothing yet, but that doesn't really bother me at the moment.
What I was wondering is that in the future, if I already have something held over, and I have another story ready and waiting, should I wait to submit it? I don't want to cause another overload like I did this week. ^^;

I had a piece held over, but the neomail was already cleaned up. I believe I received the held-over letter on March 11th, and I also have a comic waiting to get accepted. Should I resubmit it now?

What do you mean as in "cleaned up"? If you just deleted the neomail, it should be fine. x3 It's still held. ^_^

There's only two mails in my inbox, one from TNT. When I saw that: OMG IT'S TNT! Pleaseacceptmepleaseacceptmepleaseacceptmepleaseacceptme... "Subject: Item returned." -_________________________- Oh well. I had to look up the date I posted here that I got held over to check when I got it. The above one was from 22/3.
