Amusing Incident

Today on the sidewalk I started dancing. Anothe person, a stranger, saw me, smiled, and then danced with me in some sort of jig. Then he asked "Why the dancing" and I said "I was waiting for my mom to catch up" and right on cue my mom was there and said "Hah - I though you knew each other"

My friend Andrea and I used to start randomly dancing just to see how many other people we could get to do so. 'Twas fun.

Some other great things to do with friends:

Walk in the streets with open umbrellas when it isn't raining.

*My personal favorite* Stand with your friends and all point up at a tree, like you're looking at something. Make small comments to each other like "Wow, do you see that?" See how many people look up to see what you're talking about.

Alright! Let's do some stuff while Neopets is down... well, the last time I checked was about half an hour ago, and I've been writing out some Chinese word. OMG, you know how bored I must be to do that!? O.O

Hmmm, that reminds me of something that happened at the video store the same day I did the jig with the stranger. I was near the entrance, and someone shouted right outside the store "OH MY GOD" so loudly into her cell phone you would have thought an plane had crashed into the street. Right after I heard something like "I just saw (so-and-so) and (such and such) in the car together". A few minutes later it came up in a discussion with an employee. "I thought something really traumatic happened" the store clerk said, and then I told her what I heard. Her reply "maybe for that person it was traumatic to see those two people together".

Intresting things happen on the last day of the year, don't they?

Hm, I don't have it saved anywhere, so let's see how much I can remember by heart. . .

1. Walk into the elevator with a cooler labeled "Human Head".
2. Ask everyone if you can push their buttons for them - and then push the wrong ones.
3.From the moment you walk into the elevator, stand facing a corner without talking or getting off.
4. Walk in, shake everyone's hands, and tell them to call you "Admiral".
5. Wear x-ray goggles and leer at the other passengers suggestively.
6. Blow your nose and then attempt to stuff the tissue into someone else's pocket.
7. One word: flactulence.
8. Stare at your thumb for a while and then announce "I think it's getting bigger."
9. Bang your head and shout "Shut up! All of you just shut up!"
10. Say "Ooooooh! What do these buttons do?" and then press ALL of the buttons.
11. Brush up against someone and then say "Bad touchies!"
12. Draw a little square around yourself in white chalk and inform everyone that this is your "personal space."
13. When someone walks on, stare for awhile and then announce "You're one of THEM" and shuffle to the furthest corner of the elevator.
14. Announce in a demonic voice "I must find a more suitable host body."
15. At the top floor, hold the door open and refuse to shut it until the penny dropped down the shaft goes "plink".

Hehehe.. when i'm really bored i write lists of things i do when i'm bored. and i did this the other day

- Rename your friends
- Bribe them to do the same with strangers
- Set up a salvation army fund, and instead of asking for money ask for starbucks straws
- Sit in the middle of an elevator and ask people to tip you when they go up or down floors
- Lie on your back in the middle of a crowded mall screaming "THE CHICKENS!"
- Hop around on one leg throughout a floor
- Rhyme all of your sentences together into one loooong poem
- Instead of using new words, "tweak" existing words into new ones such as "shindigginess" or "homina whu"
- Invent a new dance craze and use it as much as possible
- Try to use "huppuchuwa" in place of "okay"
- Start a singalong in the Gap and try to get customers to join in
- Loudly recollect stories of your youth, starting with "when i was a young'n"
- Bet on who will take out the garbage first
- Try to stick both feet behind your head without flipping over your chair and falling on your ass hitting you in the head with the chair and squealing in agony
- Twirl around in a window dancing to music and trying to seduce your neighbours into doing the same
- Go to a clothing store, selecting clothing that is either 5 sizes too big, or too small and complain loudly that even though you do not know your clothing size, the people that make the clothing should
- Stalk a person you don't know and when they notice you constantly them, smile at them seductively while stretching your cheeks with your hands
- Take up the habit of stroking your chin when trying to show you are deeply in thought
- When your thoughts are too large to be summed up by chin stroking, instead pinch your whole face with one hand into a slightly chipmunk like face
- Sit in the corner talking to gigantic dust bunnies and name them Fred or Petey
- Make deeply psychological analysises of people you know, and don't know, which end up with the diagnosis of "all this can be solved by eating more cheese"
- In the middle of a test, decide to sorta all of your items into a rainbow, sneaking off to steal other people's writing implements to make your rainbow better
- Resort to writing your notes in eyeliner, lipstick, or eye shadow
- Alphabetize your clothing
- Attempt to curl men's hair with pencils
- Secretly plot to set up two people who do not know of each other
- Spend hours on end singing Disney songs, or showtunes
- Embrace Raffi in an hour long song and dance
- Love your inner Smurf
- Apply for Christmas jobs either 2 weeks after Christmas, or in the middle of July
- Respell commonly known words and attempt to spread the love
- Hug people you don't know and attempt to develop a psychic bond
- Convince people that you are really a goat

I ALSO made up a list of things to do when bored. . .

1. Locate a parent or older sibling and follow them constantly. Make sure that the distance between the two of you never exceeds 2 feet.

2. Experiment with how long your parents will actually ground you for. If it gets to be a bit much for you, casually remind them that the longer you’re grounded for, the longer they have to put up with you non stop.

3. Count how many times you can use swear words in context with a conversation. If the conversation is about dogs, this will be surprisingly easy.

4. Wait till your younger brother or sister is eating or drinking something and then state rather casually that you once barfed out your nose. With any luck, the same will happen to them.

5. Empty your kitchen cupboards of spices and and dump them all into a bowl full of water. If anyone askes what you’re doing, tell them you’re “cooking”.

6. Repeat #5 only this time with some vinagar and baking soda.

7. Make it “snow” in your living room using bits of paper, flour, and, if you can get your hands on it, laundry detergent.

8. Attempt to go sledding in it.

9. If you fail, see if you can make it more slippery by dumping some water on the mixture. If that doesn’t work, try koolade.

10. Navigate your house with your eyes closed

11. Lock yourself in your older sibling’s room and see how long it takes them to get you out. This works best if you steal your family’s skeleton keys first.

12. If they threaten physical violence, comb through any diaries/journals/notes they have and try to find out the name of their boyfriend/girlfriend. Alert them when you find it.

13. Before you leave, make sure to throw their clothes alll over the floor - especially their underwear.

14. Mix up your family members’ shoes (give some of your Mom’s shoes to your older brother, your Dad’s shoes to your younger sister, etc.) Make sure no one has a single matching pair.

15. If that doesn’t cause enough confusion for you, try hiding every single shoe in the houshold in a different place.

16. Decide to play hide-and-seek right before dinner time – without letting anyone know of course.

17. Put all of the balls in the house into the refrigerator and wait for someone to open the door.

18. If not all of them fit in the refrigerator, stuff the rest into the kitchen cupboard. The UPPER kitchen cupboard.

19. Pace the perimeter of your house singing the most annoying song you can think of VERY LOUDLY.

20. Write a list of things to do when you’re bored.

Half of them are things that either I or my little brother have done and the other half are things I have always wated to do but could never find the courage.

Here's something I ought to do sometime:

Stand on the side of the road, pointing a hair dryer toward all the cars and seeing how many slow down.

I read about that in a freak test.

Another thing:

Superglue change to the floor and watch people as they try to pick the coins up.
