Poetry Contest B. Storytelling Contest C. Caption Contest D. Beauty Contest E. Pet Spotlight F. PetPet Spotlight IV. Art A. Beauty Contest pics B. Art Gallery??? C. Comic??? That's basically only half; it has to do only with writing and art while I've still got millions of things to do in my guild, etc., and III and IV are very, very, very ambitious. Then, there's the offline life...not there's much of one except school...so.... :P |

I might as well give my reviews on some comics.
Shoyru Squadron: Agents of Faerie Lol, jelly bubbles. Great art work and superb storyline!
Neopia Acres Not bad, not bad at all.
Slice of Life Lol, funny! And it's the truth, isn't it?
Busy Babith Erm...I get it...um...
Aisha Blues Too bad about the loss of Lunar Lupe. But this one is funny, I really don't envy that Champ person.
Neopian Christmas Carol: Part Five *gasp* The last one! Great ending...and especially mirrors!

Aw, thanks for the compliments on the SHH comics guys!  As for the "Useless Events" comic, I had a momentary twinge of "Hey!" when I saw it, but I quickly reminded myself that the idea of basing a comic on a random event was never an original idea and I've always said that anyone else could do it. And it *was* funny, although I have nothing against chias. However, I looked up the artist after I saw it and found that he/she has been frozen.  |

Hmmm, just for fun, I'll review the articles this week. However I'll spread it out some, starting with these three articles -
Capital Punishment : The form, as always with Shidi, is very good. I especially liked the headings like "Why?" and so forth. On the theology of the article, I'm in the choir. Quite a few people on Neopets who need to capitalize properly don't. Unfortunately the majority of those people won't read or agree with this article. But Shidi got the idea from someone who asked her, so I suppose there are a few who can be saved. Having this article won't hurt, so go ahead!
How (Not) to Get Ahead on the Battledome Chatboard : I loved how Karma wrote the *right* rules for chatting, then had a paragraph on each with sarcasm on why jerls break the rules. Spiffy format! And the article as a whole was hilarious as well as having a message to the BD Chat jerks. Probably very few will actually change their ways, but it certainly is giving us all a good laugh!
Darigan Has Been Framed! : ROTFLMNO! Very hilarious article. It works because it's like a ball going down a hill, getting faster and faster. It starts out with talking about how shady Skarrl is, then each paragraph gets more ridiculous than the last. Eventually get the information that *Darigan* told this story for a chaser! There isn't much to comment on the structure of this article other than what was said above. The linear composition was appropriate for the article
EDIT : I've just noticed how it fits how Shidi's article refers to how others should behave, stoneman's article was for laughs, and Karma's article was a cross between. I wonder if this was a complete accident they were in that paticular order in the Neopian Times...

Experiment_ex : Good, sound, logical format This is the second best neopoint-experiment article I've read, and has the best expression. It'd be nice if it shuts up some beggars ;D but unfortunateloy beggars are poor because they're lazy. But it should definitely help some others, especially newbies, who are in a hole. It would have been nice if there had more detail - i.e. precise records of everything bought and sold, but you can't ask for everything. But looking at the times, I wonder what kind of internet connection Ladee_Sarah has.An Amateur Psychic's Guide to the Future of Neopia An interesting view on the future of Neopia, although there weren't too much laughs (or do I have a deformed sense of humor?) in this and I think it should have been more concise. I was losing intrest in the last third. Stoneman's other article this week was way betterHidden Tower Reviews 3 Not much to comment on in stucture of this article. It works. Sorry Aaacheww, but I disagreed with many of your reviews. I can tell that you haven't used any of these items, and as experience has taught me many times, you can't tell how useful or terrible a battledome weapon is until you've used it consitently. No, I have never owned any Hiideen Tower items either, but I wouldn't venture to give full reviews on them either. And I know how much hatemail you get, which is part of why I'm sorry to give you such a negative review  . 15 Hobby Suggestions This article has a smooth finsihed style - very basic, but classic, format. I don't know how helpful this would be to someone getting bored of Neopets (maybe it'd be great, I don't know), but I got the drift that this was an article composed for laughs. Unfortunately, comapred to "How (Not) to Get Ahead on the Battledome Chatboard" and "Darigan was Framed" this article was not that great. I got the idea of it after Hobby #15 and after that the jokes sounded hollow. I suppose there wasn't much humourous variation in Karam's article either, but reading Karma is like eating candy. Anyway, I've been guilty of a similar crime, so I really shouldn't talk

Okay, I understand that Josh combined two separate articles into one, so I'm not going to comment on that. However, looking at each part separately, I still thought the ideas expressed were slightly repetitive in both sections. I was a little confused about the point of the first section-- was it all about freeing trapped, unloved, unused faeries? The second section was much better-- a plea for not just joining a guild and sitting in it doing nothing. Good articleS-- not terrific-- but good and with a logical progression of thought.

Whoa! Excellent step-by-step how-to-name-your-pet guide that proves you don't need underscores and strings of numbers to make names (and screen names) that at least SOUND good. A great article-- and this is coming from a guy with a 3 in his name.
