But good luck, it's not one of the easiest languages out there. And to think - I can barely speak English..

Japanese? Konnichiwa is pretty much all I know. Oh wait...I know a little phrase...kutabare subeta...but I won't say what that translation is. I use it a lot at school under my breath because even if people hear it, they don't know what it means.

Hmmm... japanese... I know a few words, like obvious ones such as kawaii, gomen, konnichiwa... picking these up from a japanese obsessed friend :-P I have one of those too. ^_^ Is is a requirement for everyone to have at least one friend who's obsessed with Japanese or the culture or to be the person who is obsessed? *sees random anime, and drops everything to go watch it*

She's gotten some others of my...friends...interested in that as well, and I kind of am too. Maybe it is a requirement. O.o I don't know anything about Japan or whatever, though. This upcoming week in school, we'll be studying Japan in Spanish for World Language Week, which'll be fun. We're going to learn some basic kanji too...none of us will be good, and we won't learn much, but it sounds cool. I think I mentioned that somewhere on the Homework Help board.

Um, I don't have a Japanese obsessed friend, the only reason I know it is because I lived there for a few years. I don't think it should be a requirement...lol. I sincerely hope the fascination with Japan stays with pop culture and doesn't spread into clothing or footwear.

Well, as you have to be over 18 to work for Neopets, I'd say that eligibility wise, you are eligible to work for them, presuming there is a job opening for whatever you want to do.

Yeah, Kanji is in Japanese too... I can read some of it, but not a lot. I always confuse the onyomi and the kuyomi. I can't write them for beans either. I really need to get a kanji dictonary one of these days (but I even have trouble reading those dictonaries! Honestly...*mutters*.) Oh Great Linny-senpai . . . teach me more! *scampers off in fear that brother will catch her on the computer*

I guess I should share this: Last August 26 I got Neomail from daleros (Dale Rosenkranz), saying the Chief Operating Officer of Neopets was impressed with my work, and wanted to get additional info. At that time, Dale was in charge of employment at Neopets. After that I exchanged emails with Dale and Lee Borth (the aforementioned COO). They actually wanted to hire me, and even sent me an application form to fill up. Unfortunately, nothing came of it, most probably due to my being located outside of the United States. (Actually I haven't followed up. There was this period that I was really busy, and Mr. Borth was also busy. Then Josh left, and before I knew it, even Dale's name was gone from the "About Us" portion of the site.) I guess my point with sharing this story is that... um... anything can happen. So go for that job! (And don't forget us once you get hired!)

Awww...that's a pity that you couldn't get the job darkjedi, your artwork is simply amazing!
I'd personaly like to work for the translation on the Japanese part of the site or draw the artwork for it. Would be rather fun. ^_^
