Well. After adopting the cat I scrapped every single name that'd been suggested for him. None of them fit. So on the car ride home - which he fell asleep during - Mom and I narrowed it down to two names: Nemo and Ninja. I picked Nemo. It just really fit, can't really explain why. I guess we found out his name instead of picked one out. And no, he's NOT named after that fish. Captain Nemo, from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Good book. Ironically enough, Crystal suggested the name Nemo while I was offline. Kind of a creepy coincedence. Nemo has settled in quite well with me. He's staying in my room until we make the move into my apartment. He's quite mellow when he's not running around like a wild banshee and clinging to my leg. LOVES being pet. He spent a good hour stomping around my bed last night going from head to waist to feet and demanding petting at each stop. If I wasn't paying enough attention he'd stretch out across my neck and tuck his head under my chin. He cries if he hears me in the hallway and I don't come see him too. Follows me around the room. That sort of thing. He's 9 months right now and is going to be a BIG cat. I'm putting his birthday at July 20th. Here's the obligatory pictures. I have a lot more but these are the ones that Dad touched up. kiddo.falquan.net/images/Nemo01.jpgkiddo.falquan.net/images/Nemo02.jpgkiddo.falquan.net/images/Nemo03.jpgkiddo.falquan.net/images/Nemo04.jpgkiddo.falquan.net/images/Nemo05.jpgkiddo.falquan.net/images/Nemo06.jpgHe's curled up on the bed staring at me right now.

Aaawww, he looks so cuuute! They love those catnip mice... is he really playful with them? He's kind of like a short haired version of my cat.

He is adorable! Where did you adopt him from? I got him from the local Petsmart. They have kitties in there from the local shelters... Nemo came from the Logan County Humane Society.

[glow=brown,2,300]Aw! What an adorable pet! I would love to get a cat one day, but alas my dad is allergic to them. Maybe when I move out of the house. Anyway, I'm going offtopic again.
Congrats on getting a kitty, and that thing about Crystal IS a creepy coincidence. o.o[/glow]

Gyah! *rolls for pun damage* I had to take him to the vet this morning. He got his rabies shot and a checkup. Poor dude. I gave him some catnip though and he's forgiven me.

I missread that as 'He got rabies' . Does he go really crazy over catnip and start dribbling over it? My cats do. Also, one of them sleeps on top of me at night . I've been boycotting Petsmart for a while, there was a thing on TV about how they had severely mistreated animals, etc, and we reckoned that it could have been our local branch that they were talking about... Edit: Wow, Kiddo, how many Neopet plushies do you have?

Edit: Wow, Kiddo, how many Neopet plushies do you have? He rolls around and attacks my flip-flops. And his eyes get really big. It's cute. The Petsmart around us is really nice. They showcase different cats from the surrounding Humane Societies and keep 'em there until they're adopted. Since a lot of the shelters around here are not "no-kill" shelters it's wonderful that the pet stores are helping get those cats home before they're put down. My family supports Cat Welfare, which is a no-kill shelter, with food and money donations and such. We don't support the others though. And my NeoPets plushies... aheh. Well, remember the NeoPets McDonald's promotion they had a while ago? My dad can be a bit obsessive when it comes to collecting things. So we have a LOT. That's just my collection too... dad has more. Don't even ask how many cards we have. I honestly don't know.

Lol... The Petsmart here just sells toys, foods, and small pets such as hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds.
Hey, I'm down to -5 karma!
