As many of you know, I had spanish conference (competition) from Wednesday afternoon to Saturday afternoon. I was the only spanish 2 in my group and only freshmen. I had to give an impromptu speech (25 topics, randomly pick out 3 face down and choose one) also I had to recite a poem 1-3 minutes long (mine was close to 3 minutes). Luckily the judges are really nice to the spanish 2 kids because... I GOT A PERFECT 40 ON BOTH!! I was the only non native speaker who went with our school to get a 40 on my speech (4 native speakers came too) More imporant than my scores was that our school placed first in our division ...though it only had 5 schools in that specific division... with a score of 776 out of 800! No one got less than a 34 in any event! This conference was soo fun! I made a lot of new friends at my school. There was a banquet too with people singing and dancing and showing clothes from differnt countries... and the most entertaining host EVER! He had this really girly voice and was nice- and 2 people in our group took a picture with him XDDD We swam, there was adance, and we ate a lot and I was more outgoing! I think this is an awesome thing for me and I'll definitely try out next year

Gracias everyone ^_^ It was so fun- I can't wait to go back. Next year I think I will do the play instead of the poem- it sounds a little more fun
