*assumed the Holiday Issue was coming out next week* Guess I can abandon my Holiday story I haven't started yet.

ArticlesHoliday Food-Fighting on a Budget by Stephanie (swordlilly)The concept for this article was really interesting. Potentially more exciting, at least for me, was taking a trip down memory lane of all the battledome equipment that used to be used daily that now sits dormant in my SDB. I really liked the added flair when describing the difference in icon displacement. “This pie deals the same amount of icons as the cupcakes, but in slightly different flavors” as well as the blurb at the bottom. I might have to try to create a new food fight battledome set for fun! Short StoriesA Hero's Journey: The Lost Day of Giving by KatThis was such a sweet story! I love the differences in the dynamics between Rohane and Reuben compared to Rohane and Jeran. The subtle moments between the dialogue (which was excellent by the way) to add breathing room and a comedic flair seemed well paced and were really fun. A Brynnso Christmas 10-Year Anniversary Special! by RielCZI really enjoyed the humor here. I think Hanso and Brynn worked perfectly off of each other, their chemistry was definitely noticeable. Always my favorite pair from the Plots. When Hanso said he’d be okay if Brynn were a Brightvale cheerleader, I laughed. I haven’t done a great job keeping up with the lore of the site, but this story in particular made me want to know more about Orion. He seems like a hoot of a character! The Emerald Deep by CarolynI really enjoyed this story. I can’t remember if I’ve read any of your stories written in the first person narrative, but I think it did a great job capturing the voice and emotions of Dorian. I love that it continued to flesh out events and characters in your overarching narrative and the continued soft worldbuilding. ComicsHow to Make a Snow Angel by Euphemia and rascle9 I really loved this comic. I had a genuine smile when I finished it and I put together the whole story. I think it was a fun look at Kikos and Jubjubs, and I loved the facial expressions of the two as they made their snow angel. A Happy New Year to Neopia by Lex and luc187 As always, I absolutely love the artwork in your comics. There is something so clean and idyllic about that opening shot of Brightvale in the first panel. I just loved the wholesome, and more mature message of the comic too! The Floating Islanders - Stopping Starlight by ThemeguyI loved how timely this comic is. It not only feels ripped straight from the NeoBoards from the past couple of weeks, but feels like a good commentary about the real world as well. I also loved how detailed the artwork is, down to the cracked glasses. Blossoms by TwillieI am also a huge fan of your artwork too! It has been some time since I last played Snow Wars, but I found the thought of the guy dressed up as Santa just doing his job as hilarious!

Repost of reviews from the on-site thread, for posterity (sorry for not tagging, I think most of you have seen these already anyway): How Not to Attach the Pebble: A Guide from Experience by becauseofreasonsCongrats on getting in! This was an adorable read. So many big trials for such a tiny Pebble! You did a great job making something simple like a listicle really charming and engaging. The narrative elements were cute and a great touch! =) The Fright Side: Holiday Dinner by halloween_luckI love these characters and am happy to see them back! Ol Cap'n Bones just wanted you to have a low (no) calorie option Is This Enough? by betti666Adorable! Go big or go home, little aisha! Snow for the Holidays by flames_unleashedLove how cozy the setting is on this one. Very bright, clean, and charming! Don't Set Your Tree Up On a Mountain Slope by lunensisOoo the idea behind this one is very clever, great work! The Modern Day JubJub's Holiday Wish by puffy333_revivedIt's a christmas miracle (now do the rest of the billionaires ) A Hero's Journey by precious_katuch14I suspect Reuben meant it when he said doing a kindness for another was gift enough, but good on Rohane for trying his best! Reuben also best big brother, I enjoyed Rohane's "pass" on that one with Jeran lol The Emerald Deep by parody_hamI appreciate that the Citadel has the Day of Darkness vs The Day of Giving- and despite the gloomy name it's still full of hope. Just like the Citadel itself. I always enjoy your vignette pieces, moody and engaging.
Also Serene, thank you so much for the review! I really appreciate it!

How to Make a Snow Angel by Euphemia and rascle90Lol it's nice at least that Kikos and Jubjubs have each others’ backs (arms? legs?) through life. That’s a cute idea for how they can make a snow angel together! I also like that they’reboth Christmas color, just a small detail to add to the festivity :3 The Floating Islanders - Stopping Starlight by ThemeguyI’ve said this before, but I do love the perfect timing of this comic since it came out so close to the related advent prize and Orion’s early dialogue! That’s a funny coincidence that you already had that specific combo of Ice Hissi and Snowickle, makes for a perfect joke opportunity. That’s cute how the Snowickle mimics her movements, especially when it’s also pointing at the advent screenshot. I also love the Ice Hissis’ big expressions in the background, and her fave in the last panel has some potent malice lol. A Happy New Year to Neopia by Lex and luc187
Ooh the limited palette really gives the feeling of a quiet winter night full of either rest or anticipation. The small vignettes are also neat, it’s always fun seeing how others can tell a story in just one or two panels, especially with no dialogue. I also love the different moods you were able to convey with the yellow highlights between each panel. For Tilbur’s family, it’s a warm and cozy glow from the tree as they relax. For Sura, it’s an almost lonely glow from his phone as he texts Ralvy and ignores the party. And then Ralvy gets the best views for fireworks! Sucks that she was made to work on a holiday, but I’m sure she doesn’t mind lol.
