Keng's pet got struck with terrible allergies from Pollenitus. Keng was kind enough to donate his sinuses to science!
Keng also saw that a few items known to cure Pollenitus were glitched; namely Blueberry Lozenge, Powdered Green Tea, and Soothing Eye Drops. She attempted those, and they also failed. I wouldn't have thought to check those items, but good to check!
Including SHW, None of the cures worked on Pollenitus.

One of my pets got Reptillioritus from an RE. I tested everything except Kougra Balm and SHW. Surprisingly Anti-Sea Sick Pills DID cure her! (it was the last one I tested, so can confirm none of the others worked)
I only tested one of each, the Anti-Sea Sick Pills worked on the first try.

Eeee you have no idea how excited I am to hear that!!
(Seriously, I checked my phone while at work during a short break and saw a message from you about it, and it was so hard to not cheer out loud. And to not immediately rush home to pursue this further. My employer may be flexible, but it's not a great reason to ditch. xD )
Thank you so much for volunteering, Lex!
Because that one worked on the first try and because I tend to test each cure multiple times, I'm gonna call for a re-do of Reptillioritus to see if we can repeat it! Man, I have never looked forward so much to the idea of a pet getting Reptillioritus.
Daydream: "Gee, thanks, I'm so excited."
Me too!!!
===== And for future reference and volunteering, here is how I test each of my cures:
For one thing, I have a spreadsheet keeping track of everything. I recommend this as it's a lot easier to tell what works, and it's easier to track the pet's response, which is particularly important for the two chance possible cures.
For all cures except for Seti Essense and Elixir of the Sun, I hypothesize that trying it once should be enough to tell if it works or doesn't. To be sure, I test each of these cures Three times.
Seti Essense and Elixir of the Sun function differently. These are among the by-chance cures, in which you could drop a ton of cures of them, and more likely than not, the pet will ruin them. Regardless, the item will disappear, so you will need a lot in stock for full testing. (If this is a problem, I'm willing to donate if you catch me online at the time, or if you're willing to wait.) The pet will have a different description for if they ruined it vs if it just didn't do anything. I record each of the responses to keep track of if the pet ruined it, if it didn't work, or if it worked, for each one is unique. I do each one about 10 times, unless I get the Didn't Work response multiple times; about 3-5 times.
I have had Elixir of the Sun work during very rare random times. However, so far it has not cured any disease. Instead, it has a very rare chance of healing hit points. I honestly don't know why it's called a cure, because I really don't think it does anything else. But I keep it in the cure rotation just in case.
I have yet to have seen Seti Essense work. Just ruined or not worked.
In summary:
-All cures except Seti Essense and Elixir of the Sun: Test 3 times. More likely than not your pet will complain it's not the right cure. -Seti Essense and Elixir of the Sun only: Test 5-10 times. Note if it was ruined, if it didn't seem to do anything, or if it worked; the distinction in the pet response is important here.
If the cure works, go ahead and give the pet dialogue! It's not super important though and I won't complain if you don't; think of it as an achievement! (Lex told me on the side that the cure dialogue is the standard cure dialogue.)

New data point!
Having success with Anti-Sea Sick Pills once, I decided to try again when my pet came down with Neezles from the Wheel of Misfortune.
I used x3 Anti-Sea Sick Pills, and on the 3rd one it DID cure them! The message was "PET doesn't appear to be ill anymore!" The failure message on the prior attempts was the standard "pet ruined it" one.
EDIT: Just tried again, gave pet Neomonia from a poisonous jelly. I used x2 Anti-Sea Sick Pills, and it worked on the 2nd try!

Thank you so much!!
Anti-Sea Sick Pills have not worked in the past, and now it's suddenly curing a few. I wonder if Neo changed something on their end to cause it to work. I wonder why, though, as I think it only showed up in a games master challenge.
Anyway, gonna buy a few before people catch on; that way we can continue the experiment and see how many this works on! (I suspect people are already catching on, because prices are gradually increasing.)
(As exciting as this all is, I politely ask to please not spread word yet. Not before we've tested as many diseases as possible with this cure! I know I can't stop people or random passers-by, just... please. xD)
Also, people are absolutely free to help! I am only one person with a full time job, and with limited funds if Anti-Sea Sick Pills do inflate, and I need all the help I can get. <3 But I will keep things updated!

Sorry to double-post, but an important update. My experiences and testings with Elixir of the Sun have shown that the item is a rare-heal item and not a cure. This is now reflected in Jellyneo's page for diseases. www.jellyneo.net/?go=diseasescuresAs such, I will provide an update to the experiment parameters. Elixir of the Sun no longer has to be tested.

Some items have been changed!
So, Kaninitri got Sneezles. I'd been wondering a few things, so I started a re-test on them. Many items were as before. But not: Numbing Throat Spray Magical Cave Moss Anti-Sea Sick Pills
I'd been expecting to go through the others as normal before curing with Anti SS Pills. But I got the same type of dialogue with Numbing Throat Spray and Magical Cave Moss as I do for Seti Essense, in which either it's ruined and disappears, or "doesn't heal or they weren't sick" and disappears. But either way, Numbing Throat Spray and Magical Cave Moss disappear upon use now, even if it fails to cure.
This is a change from before. Therefore, all parameters for the three listed cures may need to be re-run.
I'll some point I'll give an updated table that helps keep track of the new changes, and leave the old one as a legacy list. Otherwise things will just get confusing. EDIT: The new list has been made.
Oh, and Anti SS Pills cured Sneezles.
EDIT: It also cured Neowarts. Nothing else did.

Technically on a bit of an internet hiatus, but I did log in to do some dailies. Managed to get Neoflu out of it! Huzzah!!
Didn't want to spend too long on it though, so I just tested the suspected new ones. That is, Numbing Throat Spray, Magical Cave Moss, and Anti SS Pills. The first two were null. But... Anti SS Pills did it again! That is, it cured Neoflu.

This random event was how today's shenanigans all began.
Because Achy Head is a rare disease, I decided to go all out on the cure and test everything again. The remaining unchanged ones so far as we know, Kougra Balm, Sore Hand Wrap, and Seti Essense, continued to act as they did before and ultimately didn't do anything. Magical Cave Moss failed to cure.
Also a note, Lex suggested that perhaps with the recent cure mechanic changes, I should try the reported glitched cure for Achy head too, Extra Strength Terry Berry Tea, to see if any of those glitched. I opted to take this advice, wanting to try it before Anti SS Pills because I really think that's just a cure-all anymore.
So with Three Cures left, that's where Daydream's case study became... Interesting.
Numbing Throat Spray. I didn't expect it to work, and it didn't. But it uniquely didn't. For every time I tried to use it on her:
It was left in my inventory untouched, even though it was a consumable now. After three times, I gave up and listened to her. I have no idea if this is pet specific or if Numbing Throat Spray vs Achy Head causes this reaction now.
Onto the Extra Strength Terry Berry Tea (henceforth EXTBT; sound it out loud, it's fun). First two times:
It's... Not a lotion, Daydream. Did she try to rub it on her head? In any event, it didn't work. At first.
Third time trying the EXTBT...
And indeed, she did not.
So that is one Glitched cure that now works!
Because of this, I didn't have the chance to try Anti SS Pills on Achy Head. Still, I really do think that Anti SS Pills is a cure-all.
Some take-aways from all of this: -Anti SS Pills is most likely a cure-all. -The glitched cure EXTBT now successfully cures, by chance. -Both of these findings have been reported to Jellyneo. I have also informed Jellyneo of this thread if they're interested. (-As such, because I'm pretty confident in my prediction and because I want to lose a degree of freedom in testing, go ahead and spread the word about Anti SS Pills now. If one doesn't work for a disease, we'll find out.) -Numbing Throat spray had an interesting reaction with one of my pets vs Achy Head. It's unknown whether this is pet specific or disease specific. EDIT: Tried it on Daydream while she's well, and she still screamed to get it away. Changing site language removes this reaction to the more reasonable standard reactions. Thus, the screaming reaction is likely pet-specific. -Achy Head still needs to be tested for Numbing Throat Spray and Anti SS Pills. -The Glitched cures on the Jellyneo page should also be added to the testing roster.
-(EDIT: Because Neowarts is easy to get (thanks Valin), I checked that one from the glitched cure list right quick. Chancy, but also successsful!)
The glitched cures (specific to their disease), according to Jellyneo:
-Blueberry Lozenge (Pollenitus) -Extra Strength Terry Berry Tea (Achy Head) (Tested and cured) -Jar of Crushed Palm Leaves (Neowarts) (Tested and cured) -Lemon Lozenge (Neggitus) -Lime Lozenge (Grumbles) -Powdered Green Tea (Pollenitus) -Puntec Extract (Jitters) -Voidberry Extract (Spyder Bite)
The glitched cures will be added to the front post.

Follow up post because there's a few things.
Because Neowarts is extremely easy to get, I tried that on the glitched cure. It did cure; Jar of Crushed Palm Leaves works now. (By chance.)
I got the lucky opportunity to test Neggitus from the Wheel of Misfortune. Did a full test of that, leaving the Lemon Lozenges (glitched cure) and the Anti SS Pills (likely cure-all) for last. Lemon Lozenge did not work to cure Neggitus, despite the test description of: "Kaninitri is already healed, but they eat the lozenge anyway!" I made sure to get that text at least twice before moving on. It wasn't easy; it was 15 tests before I got two heal-lying texts and 12 "didn't do anything but they ate the lozenge anyway) texts.
On a hunch about Daydream's refusal of Numbing Throat Spray, I decided to do further tests. First was to try it on her while she wasn't ill. She reacted with the same screaming as before. Then on another hunch, I changed my site language (to French if it matters) and tried to give it to her. She reacted with a more reasonable "Hey, I'm not ill, why are you giving me medicine." So looks like the character-count pet-acceptance rule counts for Numbing Throat Spray. In the future, if your pet screams to get a med away from them, you may have to change your language to test the cure, if you can.

That part is really fascinating to me, considering how TNT recently did away with pets refusing gross foods and boring books that required the same workaround. I don't think I realized that pets could also refuse potential cures, so I wonder if that was an oversight on TNT's part/they didn't know that either.

I had no idea this was a thing either until just now, to be honest. I didn't know they had done away with the refusal of gross foods and boring books too. (I remember dealing with boring books very recently.) Just gave Gimmer a can of neocola, which she has historically disliked, and she happily accepted it. Maybe I have some books to catch up on too, lol.

Yeah they made that change a little under a month ago, so still pretty fresh! Will also come in useful for feeding Apple gourmet foods lol, and maybe Zathandria has some books that she'll finally read now.

Huzzah to personal progress! ...But now I'm curious about something.
Lex first noticed that the cures were changed on March 1st. According to you, the change to the lack of refusal was less than a month ago. Do you remember, or does someone know, exactly what day this update happened?
I'm curious when the cure update happened, and what was intended with the update. I don't know how much was announced by Neopets, but if there was an announcement, I missed it. But knowing the intention and how they described what changed could really help enlighten us on what's happening, if that documentation exists. So if someone knows, well... enlighten me! Please. xD

It was officially announced on March 14th on Neopets' release notes page, although that page only specified books no longer being boring. Jellyneo also had an update announcing this, and their post went into more detail on what this change affected, info they probably gathered from community testing. Looks like they're also aware that medicines have not been changed by this as well, reading it back.
