I just had this mental image and wanted to share because Puns
*someone rushes into a room where several members of the cast are sitting* "Are you the doctor?" The Boss: "No, but common mistake" Atif, confused as heck: "...I think they were talking to me, and yes"

Remember this post here? ntwriters.proboards.com/post/2705428/threadI actually planned a drawing for that post, but I never made it. Well, tonight, that changed. Here's the section of post as I envisioned it. A memory practically forced itself into her mind, demanding she pay freakin’ attention you stupid worthless substitute who probably doesn’t even appreciate all the bribes I had to make to allow your hair to be as half as fabulous as mine. Then Beatrice remembered something. Something important. First Mate had already tried standing up to the beast. She’d already tried this, and it failed. You’ll probably get us both killed with your luck, you stubborn fail of a clone. Some spoiler thoughts. This is how I envisioned the beast. As a Charcoal blob you never saw the whole of. First Mate Bizelli tried to fight it off instead of running, but didn't succeed, and got hurt.

Hello again Wrightoners. I have a requestion, that is, a request and a question. Can I use your Wrighton Character(s) for an upcoming project? Ginz ❤ is hosting a NTWF Zine, and I'm participating with a comic that's a Middle Grade Novel AU, described here: ntwriters.proboards.com/post/2700965/threadThe short version is that everyone is around twelve years old, solves supernatural happenings around town, and this takes place well before the events of the roleplay. Also, what would the aged down version of your character be like? Not necessarily the same thing as what they were like at that age. For example, a character (no spoilers!) might have been actually been a seal living in the ocean at twelve years old, but a human living in Wrighton as an adult. Or maybe a character dyed their hair as an adult, but not as a child. I'd prefer to have the characters recognizable as their roleplay-version selves, before any revelations. I'll be working on fleshing out the script the next couple of weeks. Thank you!

June ScarletThat sounds like fun! You can use Velia if you'd like. She was super shy at that age, and not as good at managing her fears of people and their purported intolerance of "monsters". Still has teal hair (it's her naturual colour) and wears baggy sweaters. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

This is so cute! If you want to use NPCs as well, I'm happy to offer Dion! =) As in the game, she'd be a bit awkward- watching people from a distance because she feels she can't take part even though she REALLY REALLY wants to make friends- but once you get talking to her she's very animated and chatty. She likes cute dresses, especially in teals and blues! And of course her trusty 'trash inspector' hat. =P
I have some visual references if you need them! Got her original avatar, and Hunty did some nice art. <3

Sure, you can use my character if you'd like! ...Alexis is 13 going on 14 during the course of the RP anyway, so... That's what she's like. xD
I'll think on Athene's more and get back to you. Although I dunno; it'd be odd to have them both in the same place at the same time at the same age. xD

You can totally use Fionn. =D
When he was twelve, he would have been living in the ocean as a seal, as you very rightly guessed. He would have still been uber sweet and friendly, albeit naive and very fascinated by the human world. However, he would have had...interesting ideas about what it actually entails that are far off the mark, since his experience would have been limited to visits with his dad and grandma. Probably would have been far less lazy and more keen on exploration. Would cause trouble, albeit by accident. May have also begun noticing that OMG GIRLS ARE PRETTY and tried to flirt in the most cringeworthy way.
Alas, would not have known how to play the saxophone. D=
You are also free to use Maggie. As a twelve year old, she would have probably just barely opened her eyes and be growing feathers (sirins have a long childhood) and not even left the nest. She would have been wide-eyed, listening to stories of the great fire that fell from the sky and the strange people who came from it. She would be very shy and wary at that age, discovering her tastes in shinies and other stuff. Very sensible for a kid though.

Twelve-year-old Kathleen would've been perky, chatty, friendly in that particularly extraverted "hi we just met and you're my BFF now" sort of way, impulsive, outgoing and all other similarly related adjectives. Also with a very active imagination that later got channeled into her writing. Also the sort who will punch you in the face when her temper flares up. She reined that in later. Curiously a lot more similar to her head-inhabiting ancestor than RP!Kathleen.
Twelve-year-old Boss I can't even begin to envision. Not convinced he's ever actually been twelve, due to wibbly wobbly timey wimey reasons. At best I can imagine a sort of Detective Conan scenario where he gets hit by a youngification ray and continues being his usual self in a smaller package, except more grumpy and indignant and occasionally attempting to fit in with wholly misguided attempts of HOW DO YOU DO, FELLOW KIDS?

Nice! Here, have a 12-year-old Ayo if you like, actually in the last year they got to live in Wrighton. before the Fire Nation attacked They were much, much sweeter than at roleplay time: a little shy at first, but lavish with hugs, gifts and words of comfort alike, ready to charge in and solve problems and make things better for a friend. Might have already been stressed by their father's illness and the fact that he and their grandma preferred not to tell Ayo what was really going on, even though they definitely could sense it was getting worse. This kid would have looked like a thrift shop and art supplies shop exploded around them. They were already super into fashion, but in a more vintage, crafty way. Very artsy too: they lived with their painter, pianist father, with frequent visits to and from their grandma who also painted and had a large supply of crafting materials for any kids. Oh, and they would have been going around with their first camera, of course. So they'd wear custom jewellery, be skilled at sewing, knitting, beadwork and this sort of stuff. They were generous about it too, friendship bracelets for everyone. They might have been the kid producing crafting supplies out of the blue (sewing things, duct tape, glue...) And cookies from grandma.
thanks for the excuse to infodump

Twelve year old Liz would be an adventurous child, one that likes to take the rough and dirty route to get somewhere or get what she wants. Push her peers into the nearest dirt patch if they're being annoying, challenge the kid at her lunch table to a milk drinking contest to try and get their candy, play crude versions of sports outside during recess or in her free time.
She'd still live in the house she's at in main-game Wrighton, which is in the northern part of town where the houses are mixed in among the trees. She'd have her ginger hair at this point, and I'd imagine it'd be cropped to about shoulder length. Very freckly everywhere, wears denim shorts and pants, sometimes overalls, really likes to wear fun jackets all the time. Also doesn't mind skirts, as they make it easier to run around.

So I was going to say that 12-year-old Scip would have been in a dark ship buried forgotten underground (because that's the feels train that keeps on giving), but then I realized we never actually had a clear timeline for how long the original crew's voyage lasted. Prooooobably still gonna go with "buried underground forgotten" since I doubt the original voyage lasted quite that long. Especially since Scip didn't come with the ship, he was made pretty much as a side project when the journey was already underway.
Either way, being a hologram that can alter appearance at will and whatnot, kid!Scip's appearance would be pretty much the same, only shorter and possibly without the RETON logo. Also definitely another case of How Do You Do Fellow Kids (although it's really more How Do You Do Fellow Humans). But being (part of) the answer to a lot of the town's Mysteries, Scip is more likely to show up without warning, deliver some important information, and then go away again leaving everyone being all "Wait, who was that?"
