If you roll a tech hero when we random-generate classes, yes. Bear in mind that you could end up playing a villain as well, depending on how the dice roll. By all means come up with ideas, but it's probably best not to get too invested in any one thing before you know what your role will be. Ah, so we're rolling for the class type? I better start thinking of ideas for multiple classes just in case XD (was thinking of a B Lister (or more like a D Lister the way I was thinking XD)) Yeah we're rolling for it. XD Otherwise we'd probably end up with an imbalance. As I joked to Carrie and Tiger on skype "I know Robert Downy Jr. is hawt and errythang but we don't need nine Ironmans."

You'd have at least one Aquaman though, I default to second rate characters. xP They're just so much fun! That said, I'm very excited to see what Ranumgen has in store for my and others' parts in this game! :-D

Could my hero be a disabled person who operates robot(s) to fight on their behalf? If you roll a tech hero when we random-generate classes, yes. All Stars, Tech Hero, and B-Lister are the classes ^^ (Or if you meant for villains, those are still a WIP at the moment)

What if someone drew an All Star, but wanted a B-lister, and another person drew a B-lister, but wanted All-Star? Could they trade? If it's only about keeping the game balanced, then it wouldn't affect anything, there would still be the same number of roles. However, if it's more about embracing the challenge of whatever role fate gives you, and expanding your creative horizons, then it would matter more.
(And you know what? B-lister was actually my favorite class too, oddly enough. Seems more fun and quirky, and more room for character development.)

To be fair, I only used Ironman as a jokey example, I was in no way implying everyone would want to be an All Star. But no, there won't be any trading of classes, part of the fun of any forum game is taking on whatever role you're given and working with it, even if it isn't necessarily something you'd have thought up or chosen yourself. And All-Star has just as much room for quirk and character development as a B-Lister or a Tech Hero, if you're creative about it. This isn't Marvel or DC, where editorial mandates mean that the status quo is God and there is no allowance for growth and development of the iconic brand characters. Heck, I'd love to see a grandstanding god-among-men develop in some way, be it in getting his or her comeuppance and being taken down a peg or going absolutely postal and trying to take over the world, or whatever else people can think up- have fun with it! Don't be upset with not getting your favorite thing, but try to stretch your creative muscles doing something you weren't necessarily expecting.

I do actually really like the randomness n these games, haha. One of the things I was most looking forward to last time was that PM with my role and stuff!

Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with whatever. As long as I can draw my super heroes decking each other at some point! (also, personally, if I had to choose a guy, I'm more of a Hawkeye fan myself.)

I actually don't like superheroes that much. so I'm not invested in a category.Vigilantees should just leave it to the police. Or use their astounding amounts of money and actually do something to help society rather than wear their underwear over their pants. *coughbatmancough*

Isn't tech hero more of a type than a class? Like people with water or strength related abilities? Is it so a well-funded All-Star can't have robots that really could take over the world or a poorly funded B-Lister with outdated tech can't hilariously malfunction regularly and have an incredibly hard time doing anything that involves complex motor skills like opening a door?Anyway, I am VERY happy that art missions have an alternative for non-artists.

It's an argument in semantics at this point - dividing heroes into classes is a wibbly-wobbly task at best. The idea is to encourage variety, so that, like Shinko said, we don't have a bunch of the same types of heroes. Also, the hero classes (villain classes as well) will have abilities tied to their class (and yes, we've figured out how to make that work with A/B-listers, too - have faith, Shinko's smart, Carrie's an experienced goderator...and uh, I'm a super-hero nerd and watch a lot of Atop the Fourth Wall? 8D ) Like Shinko said earlier, if you don't roll exactly what you want, think of it as a chance to try something new, without the pressure of making an entire story on your own and while interacting with other cool, fun, and varied characters.

Tech can sort of go either way. A example of real world tech heroes would be A Class heroes like Iron Man or Batman. Neither have powers, but use tech to enhance themselves (or in Batman's case trains himself to). But then you can go B-List and have someone like Booster Gold who time travels from the future, taking tech from that time to be a hero in everyone else's present XD So really a Tech hero can sort of be either of the other two depending how they're played.

I hoped that was the case. How advanced of a prosthetic are All Stars and B-Listers allowed?
