After 4 days of brutal cold weather and snow on Monday (I will sympathize with those living in the US), relief is in sight

I lost over 6 kg over these 2 months, and I can tell for sure that it's easing up on my knees. Also, since the cheer team doesn't come back until mid February, I am doing Yoga meanwhile, and I can tell I'm improving in flexibility and strength even if this is a lighter exercise than cheerleading practice. Summer break hasn't been all for naught for me haha.

Just saw the trailer for season two of 'The Dragon Prince' and it's SO GOOD and there are EVEN MORE DRAGONS and I'm SO EXCITED.
(also I saw someone say Aaravos is the star elf in the trailer but, even if not...star elf star elf STAR. ELF. I can't wait for season two!)

Thorn - WHAT, there's a trailer for season two? I have to look it up! Exciting! =D EDIT: Also, huge shout-out to Jelle's Marble Runs MarbleLympics on Youtube for keeping me sane these past couple of days. I don't know how that ended up in my Recommended, but I'm so glad I watched it, because it was the exact kind of entertainment I needed to keep my mind off of worries and anxious thoughts. I watched the whole 2017 and 2018 events and got SO invested XD; (Go Pinkies and Oceanics!)

Who knew watching marble races could be so much fun? And I love the commentary, and the "fight" in the stands in one of them. Ha!

Ahh, I know, right? XD I'm glad I'm not the only one! At first I was just nostalgic because when I was little, my sister and I would play at "ball school" and would take all our balls, from marbles to bouncy balls to soccer balls and everything in between, and made them do a bunch of tasks as well, like racing down the stairs and things like that, it was so much fun! XD But wow, I was SO impressed at how much effort and dedication they put into it, they make it so professional! It was super fun and entertaining! I'm glad to hear you've enjoyed them too!

Borrowed Dormouse's dad's car for the weekend to drive. The only catch was that he tagged along wherever I went. He is...he has a habit of making everyone feel like an idiot, which did wonders for my self confidence. I made so many (mostly small) mistakes. The combination of stress and bright sunlight and me being sick with a cold, however, caused really bad sensory overload. Like "lie in bed in a dark room crying because I do not have the energy to control my emotions" bad. Upside to my mini-rant: while in aforementioned state of sensory overload, Dormouse was such a sweetheart. First, she brought me a thermometer. She figured I was sick and that's what is always brought to her when she is sick. Then she gave me lots of hugs. That helped more than the themometer. Third, she kept her voice down until the family left to go to a friend of my mum's. Normally she's pretty loud; side effect of her being an outgoing, happy toddler. That she was considerate enough to not yell too much really helped a lot. Sometimes I think this kid is going to grow up an awful human being (mostly because she is spoiled by her parents and she's got bags of attitude) and then she does stuff like that. You're okay, Dormouse. You're going to be a decent human. And later, my mum told me Dormouse's dad did not think my driving was that terrible. He is just the type of person who is really hypercritical. That did make me feel better.

You know, it wasn't so half-bad of an idea to start a finsta for my more... Occult interests, so to put it... Mainly now that I'm reaching higher numbers of followers, I am beginning to actually have interesting interactions. I have already been asked if I do spells, and now I'm interacting with a British demonologist. That's pretty cool, IMO.
Edit: Said demonologist is so painfully obviously trying to flirt with me, it's cool he's willing to talk to me about the occult, but it puts me on the fence when I know that it's not just for talking about the topic. Let's see how far can we take this before it gets too iffy.
Edit 2: Okay, that went south in a linear rate. Oh, well, my finsta is still kickin'.

After weeks of waiting, the necklace I ordered finally came in today!! I was a bit worried before with how long it was taking, but to be fair, it shipped from literally across the world, and the weather lately has been causing delays for just about everything x3 I may have some better pics of it later, but for now I still wanted to show it off >w>

A random stranger on the internet gave me a Kudos for my short horror story. The first time I got some feedback of any sort in my writing. On an elaborate inside joke turned story. LOL

I found out that a paper that I need to write is due next Wednesday instead of this Wednesday and I feel so relieved. (The paper itself isn't long, but I just have so much to do leading up to Wednesday and it's nice having one less thing to worry about for the time being.)

I got a internship in a lab! They'll get me a scholarship and all, the professor was sooo nice, and everyone there is cool, including the Ph.D student I'm working under. The project is about the thermoluminescence of blue quartz, and I mean, I know I'll get stuck with a lot of the physical work (like grinding up the quartz with a pester and molar, or typing up the written notes, in between other tasks), I'm excited nevertheless. I am working on a real life lab! Not lab class, an actual lab! With actual lab equipment! We'll be irradiating stuff! It may not be exactly astronomy, but regardless, it's so cool!
