Yeah, the fan site agreement is mainly concerned with sites being COPPA than sites having the same rules of discussion as the Neoboards.

I hate to be a downer, but... is this going to impact things that wouldn't exactly be kosher on Neopets? The LGBTA group, the Christian group, pretty much the whole debates board, any sort of 'shipping (for example the 'Bloids)? We have not been told that these threads need to be discontinued or altered in any way. ^^ If things change in the future, we will be sure to inform you as soon as we hear about it, but changing them was not required to be added to their fansites. So they're still perfectly acceptable to talk about here on this forum. As for being a certified fan site vs a recommended fan site, the only difference is not being able to directly link to any page, like you can with a Jellyneo or Sunnyneo game guide, article etc. We could eventually be allowed that if someone nominates us to the recommended status. As far as I know it isn't affected by the content allowed here. EDIT: And I too am quite amused they mentioned the Taco. XD

I imagine there would be different problems with becoming recommended, as that allows any link with the website's domain to be linked including subdomains (eg. www.jellyneo.net, bookofages.jellyneo.net). In the case of the NTWF, that'd technically allow any proboard to be linked on Neopets... which, yeah... wouldn't be good

You would not believe the clapping and jumping and and squeeing fest I just had when I caught that on the news. I'm an eensy bit worried about becoming so popular we attract unsavory types, but I am so amazingly happy we made it!

After a little over a year and a half of working with TNT and placating Lawyerbot, the NTWF is now certified, instead of certifiable. I can again invite the newly published to stop by here and check us out again, without worrying about the monitors! Yay!

Well, so much for that effort. The first congratulatory letter I send out gets flagged as Spam by TNT and I had to resubmit it for review.
** UPDATE **
Snarkie is on it to find out what's triggering the flag and says she'll help work out a resolution.

Computer script, it appears. I sent a message to both Snarkie and Droplet to get my message whitelisted. It's the exact same one I've used for the last 2 years with only one change. I put in a line about being a Neopets Certified Fan Site. Snarkie is helping me work out a solution.

Yay! NTWF deserves it so much, and it will really help all the aspiring writers on the site.
