So I know death is a touchy subject in the NT. But what about references to death? Like, instead of saying 'x character died' you mention death in passing?
The reason I'm asking is that I have a immortal character and I'm not sure if referencing the fact that a lot of people he's known have died is okay.

Death is okay so references to death should be just fine, as long as they're done tastefully, since no matter how to stretch it, a reference to death is still a death.
In your case, it should be just fine. ^^
