Last time I checked, Hurricane Sandy isn't inappropriate. Maybe they took it the wrong way?

Maybe natural disasters fall into the realm of general inappropriateness next to politics and the like?
*shrug*

Maybe natural disasters fall into the realm of general inappropriateness next to politics and the like? *shrug* Yes because Obama definitely controls the weather.

I was only talking about the weather! Neopets even has a whole page about the weather!

I'll try to clarify: the problem isn't talking about weather, it's talking about real-life dangers or tragedies. Saying "it's raining outside today" wouldn't be against the rules; talking about RL natural disasters is where the problem comes in. It's the same reason you can't talk about cancer and the like--it's just too heavy for neo and outside the scope of it.
Sorry you got silenced, though! I'm guessing by the fact that you were silenced (rather than just warned or given a non-disciplinary heads-up) that this isn't the first misunderstanding, so I would suggest re-reading the T&C to try to get the gist of the rules. Getting frozen is no fun at all. =(

Older people, yes, you just have to remember that there are young ones.

Considering how many people have died from Hurricane Sandy, saying it gave you a paint brush is kiiiiinda' tasteless.

Considering how many people have died from Hurricane Sandy, saying it gave you a paint brush is kiiiiinda' tasteless. I think this was before anyone had died, or at least before anyone had found out. People died a week ago in Cuba from it. Even if there were no confirmed deaths, the fact that everyone was touting this as one of the top most dangerous storms of the past decade (long before it hit) is kiiiind of an indication it's going to be devastating a lot of people.
