So, yeah.
Your account has been silenced for 24 hours 0 minutes. for breaking the following rule: Attempting to lead other users offsite by giving or requesting instant messenger service IDs, social networking site information, email addresses, or phone numbers is strictly not permitted on Neopets. If this occurs again, your risk your account being permanently silenced. Please keep any and all conversations onsite and user-friendly!
The following is the message(s) that caused you to receive this warning. Any profanity, inappropriate language, or bad acronyms have been replaced with asterisks (****):
I suppose we could exchange email addresses and I could email you chapters. While your account is silenced, you will not be able to communicate with or contact other users, or edit any of your content. You can still play Neopets during your account's silencing, though. Please remember that communicating with other Neopets users via the Neoboards or Neomail is a privilege, so it's important to be a good Neopian citizen and treat others with respect.
My problem is, I hunted up and down the FAQs to see what their policies on emails were, because last year I had someone request that I tell them my email address twice and no warnings came to either of us about that. There was nothing in the FAQs, so I figured I wouldn't get in trouble for mentioning exchanging email addresses in the future.
I wasn't exchanging emails over NMs, or saying we should do it there, I was just suggesting that as an option in the future.
I doubt they would strike the silence from my record, but is there a way to contact them to point out that nowhere in their FAQ do they mention not exchanging email addresses on Neo? Especially since that is such a common thing to do? Or at least, if they do, it is impossible to find.
