"Girls!" Repleka said sternly. "Stop fighting, please." She stepped in between Miraja and Ashlynne. "It won't get us anywhere, and frankly I'm not in the mood right now."
"S-Sirocco..."
Xandra spoke quietly and weakly. Now that she was a Maraquan pet she needed to stay in water in order to survive.
"Kalara...is...safe. She's in Altador's coas..tal..."
Saeryennan gasped.
"We have to do something!" she shouted. "Now! If we can't reverse it there must to some way to turn that tail of hers into legs!"

"Hmm, now that's quite smart, cybunny..." The gypsy confessed, surprised at the suggestion while she distractly walked into the forest, deeper and deeper. "Well, why don't we take advantage of the trip and ask for Sophie's help? She might be grumpy and all but deep inside, she has a good hear."
"Hey! Are you coming or not?" She called, waving her arms toward Neovia.

"For Xandra." Sirocco said.
"Fine!" Miraja crossed her arms and stuck out her tongue at Ashlynne.
"Fine." Ashlynne roled her eyes at Miraja.
"Come on, everyone. Hopefully, Sophie will be in a good mood." Hunter led his team - and Xandraylis, of course - into the path towards Neovia.

"Hmph." Repleka crossed her arms, praying nothing would go wrong. She really couldn't handle it if it did. Come to think of it, what was wrong with just sticking to her plans and leaving this bunch?
No...that would not be right, especially since that Caylis-looking pet's life was in danger. But still, it was certainly an inconvenience.
Xandra herself was so weak she had fallen asleep, while Saeryennan was running far ahead of everyone else in the direction of lights. She hoped it was Neovia.

"Ah, Neovia...town of prosperity and darkness!" The Gypsy began singing happily as they approached the old town. "Cursed by the dead, cursed by the living! Neovia, city of nightmares! Hiding inside their houses in frights, what an unlucky townsfolk they are! Surrounded by werelupes and tempted by potions that always lead them to disaster! Now I ask myself if fate does not fancy them, but they're probably just naive!"
She stopped singing immediately after they entered the foggy town, only some neopets crossed the streets, as if they were enjoying a sunny day when it was rainy and sad.
"Well, scorchio friend..." The gypsy gave him a tight hug, even though she thought there was something suspicious about him she preferred to keep her enemies closer than friends. "Are you sure you do not wish to come?"

"I will leave now," replied Tannhauser. "I may rejoin you yet, depending on how quickly this job finishes. Just a word, you might want to visit the town well before you leave. Water for Xandra, you see."

"OH!" Saeryennan suddenly yelled right in the Scorchio's ear. "THANK YOU! Sirocco, get her to the town well for now! QUICKLY!"
Repleka planted her hand in her face. No need to be so panicky all the time. This was the girl who would rule Altador some day. What would her Twelve Heroes think of her if she kept overreacting like this?

"I have a better plan." The red wocky walked towards a fruit stand and "accidentally" bumbed on it, making all apples fall. While the owner of the stand was distracted, running after his apples the Gypsy simply grabbed the box the apples were being exposed and walked toward the group.
"This thing is easy to move around, we can fill it with water and it will be easier to move Xandraylis around! It's like a table with weels, but deeper!" She smiled happily.

"This would be great, if I had my staff. I could just summon a storm and fill it up with water." Ashlynne helped Sirocco lift Xandra into the wheelbarrow, and then opened her spellbook. "Let's hope I don't summon a storm." She began to chant a strange melody, and more rain began to fall harder until it filled up the wheelbarrow. "There we go."
"Xandra, how do you feel?" Sirocco gave his girlfriend a hug. "And why is it Zarkos doesn't need water on land?"

((OOC: To me, Jetsams and Flotsams are a sect of Neopet that can survive both places. The other Maraquan pets are more fishlike and thus should live in water. Also, Xandra's eyes didn't change color. It's the one thing shapeshifting can't change.))
Xandra's eyes opened. She noticed right away that she didn't feel as weak anymore.
"Sirocco...I'm fine." She smiled. "Thanks...whoever did this."
"All right, she's safe now," Repleka said. "Now how's about we actually get this overwith? This has bee dragged on long enough already. I just thank my lucky stars Miriya and Naia are away from all this chaos."

Tannhauser heard a commotion behind him as he walked away. He turned his head to see the gypsy stealing a merchant's wheelbarrow. Surely the makeshift aquarium would work, but what of the merchant? He didn't have much time to think of anything. He was already late for his appointment.
"A one hour head start," he muttered, checking his wristwatch.
((EDIT: What's with the eye thing? I always thought that the colour and shape of the eyes would change, but the tone of the eyes wouldn't.))

((I actually got that idea from a friend of mine in elementary school. My idea is that eyes somehow reflect a person's soul so color wouldn't change any more than soul would.))

Ashlynne tapped her foot impatently. "We don't have all night, you know. If the Shadow Usul actually figures out how to make the staff work..."
Hunter nodded. "We know. Well, everyone? Shall we get going?"

"Sure thing! GOOD BYE, SCORCHIO FRIEND!" THe gypsy waved happily as the group exited Neovia, entering the swamp.

"It looks quite easy to get lost in here," Repleka muttered. "If you don't mind I'll fly up and have a look."
With that, the Faerie ascended into the air and was soon above the treetops, looking for signs of a witch's house.
Whew! It was really quite peaceful up here. No annoying prattle from the Xweetok and Aisha, and she wasn't constantly watching Xandra's every move. Who knew what she was up to...
"Great," Saeryennan grumbled. "She was probably the only one of us who could see adequately in the dark. Now we really are lost."
Xandra planted her face in her hand. They hadn't even gone very far. Surely there was a way to find the house. Otherwise, where had those stories of unlucky Neopets catching Sophie in a bad mood come from?
