This is an RP which takes place at the Terror Mountain ski lodge. It's basically a gathering of Neopians from far and wide and they're having a christmas party. Hopefully hilarity will ensue.
Rules: 1. All the general stuff - no godmodding, powerplaying, Mary-Sue, be nice to other RPers, keep it clean. 2. You may play Neopets and Faeries since this is Neopia. 3. Your pets and OCs are yours to keep as characters. No one else can RP as your characters. 4. Neopets canons are community characters, which means they are played by everyone. 5. Have fun!
Queen Kalara of Altador entered the special Christmas ballroom. She blended in with the Christmas decorations, being a Green Wocky and all. Her frizzy orange hair danced in the light. She held the hand of her daughter, Saeryennan. The young Royal Cybunny was very pleased. This had, after all, been somewhat her idea.

"Queen Kalara?" A White Lupe, clad in a rather extravagant Meridellian court uniform. It had various medals on a sash. A Striped Xweetok in a flowing kimono stood beside him. "My wife and I have arrived." Hunter bowed, as did Miraja. Other Meridellian and Brightvalian nobility, such as Lady Roberta, Sir Tormund Ellis and his family, and Sir Jeran Borodere stood, along with his younger sister Lisha. "We're very pleased to be here, Your Highness." Miraja smiled. "I'm not entirely sure why you invited them..." A Shadow Hissi stood in a purple Qasalan cloak. "Anyone want to see a magic trick?" Despite his calm attitude, the manic actions of his shadow betrayed Fang's mischievous nature. King Skarl, among other guests, clapped in delight at Fang's sorcerous feats, as the other Qasalan guests, Queen Nabile and King Jazan, watched their friend perform, as did the Sakhmetian princesses Vyssa and Amira, and their court, General Dacon, Senator Palpus, Advisor Wessle, Senator Barca, and Enarka. "Yes. I would like to know that, as well." Zarkos, a Maractite Jetsam (OOC: Yes, I know that color doesn't exist, but when it does, that is what Zarkos will be painted ) marched up in full Maraquan regalia. You could also see King Kelpbeard himself, talking with King Hagan, Emperor Mizuo (Shenkuu's emperor), King Altador, Queen Fyora, and a tall White Korbat: Lord Darigan. Like the other Maraquans, such as Isca and Caylis, Kelpbeard had used a potion to give themselves legs for this gala. "It is rather nice to see Lord Darigan and his people returned to their former state, however." A majestic Orange Grarrl laughed heartily, conversing with a blue Mynci. These were Master Vex and Galgarroth, returned to their former colors by the Citadel's renewal. Meanwhile, a Fire Bori (Vulcan. We'll just pretend that he was never a Scorchio.) and a Brown Grarrl were at the buffet. Tyranno was digging in to the various food items, to the consternation of the other guests. "Don't mind him, he's... Well, he's Goldrunnian." The Moltaran Bori laughed nervously in the presence of Roxton Colchester, his wife Lillian Fairweather-Colchester, and her father, Hugo Fairweather. Sheriff Ellie stood laughing besides both the mayors of Goldrun and Moltara. The other guests mixed and mingled; Other Neopian heroes, from Sophie and Garin to Kanrik and Hannah, talked amongst each other.

"Welcome!" the Queen said.
MimaSparks, a brown-haired Blue Acara, and her sister SchalaOfSaeryn, a Green Cybunny with light blue hair, entered.
"Caylis!" Schala cried, hugging her.
"Hello Schala," Caylis said.
Princess Saeryennan's golden-brown hair sparkled in the light as an Air Faerie floated down beside her. She turned to her company.
"I'd like you to meet...Nyvenne."
The Faerie curtsied. She was, after all, the one who had gifted Altador's princess with prophecy.

"Greetings, Nyvenne." Hunter nodded at the Faerie. He and his friends were present at a discussion between Skarl, Kelpbeard, Jazan, Amira, Altador, Hagan, Darigan, and Fyora on the topic of Faeries. Ever since then, Neopian rulers, or Neopians of any species, no longer were required to bow before any Faerie; now, Faeries were truly of equal standing with Neopians. Fyora, Darigan, Altador, Kelpbeard and other rulers now held equal standing; no more did Fyora have authority over Skarl. All Neopian rulers were now united into a Commonwealth. (This is because I just think Neopian rulers should have equal standing with Faeries, even Fyora.)
"And what's a thief like YOU doing here?" Zarkos grabbed Hanso by the scruff of his neck, growling at him.
"I invited him." An Orange Kougra in a Brightvalian dress walked towards Zarkos, her sword at the ready. "WE are a couple." Brynn excchanged looks with Hanso, you smiled sheepishly.
"I wasn't trying to steal anything of his... Yet." Hanso smirked as Zarkos roughly dropped him on the floor.

Kalara sighed. She really didn't want to speak to the Faerie Queen right now. Not after what her sister had done...she knew Fyora would place no blame on her, but the Queen had figured something hadn't been quite right with Alyxandra* all those years. Perhaps it was that nurse, Mirana...
Nyvenne curtsied to Hunter. "It's an honor," she said.
Saeryennan walked up to Fang. She had heard he thought he was a fortune teller. Well, here was a real prophet. She wanted to find out if he truly was what he said.
"When I had my first dinner with my father's council," she said, "what did I predict?" She had predicted her mother and herself in a glowing green cave.
*(OOC: Yes, Xandra and Kalara are sisters, but no one knows except her and Fyora. I'm writing a story about it for the NT that also involves Katriana - w00t! Just so you know, it won't be really relevant to this)

"You predicted... You and your mother in a glowing green cave. Also that you would fork over ten thousand Neopoints." Fang smirked, and his shadow silently cackled in glee.
Meanwhile, Zarkos was confronting a suave Grey Eyrie in a waistcoat, white domino mask and jacket. "Who are you? You seem... Familiar." Zarkos drew his anchor harpoon. There was something he didn't quite trust about the Eyrie.
"Let's just say I have one of those faces." The Eyrie smirked, his green eyes glinting with an unknown intent. "My name is Sir Halbard. I'm a nobleman from Brightvale." He bowed extravagantly to the Jetsam.
"... Proceed." The Jetsam lowered his anchor, and the Eyrie moved in towards Miraja and Hunter.
"Hello, Princess Miraja of Shenkuu and Sir Hunter of Meridell." There was a slight hesitation when Halbard spoke Hunters name.
"Do... Do I know you?" Hunter looked suspiciously at the Eyrie. There was... Something wrong about him. Something that put him on edge.
"I just have one of those faces. My, isn't your wife lovely? Perhaps she'd care to dance?" The Eyrie took Miraja's hand, whirling her away.
"We aren't formally married, yet, but - hey!" Hunter glared at Halbard. The debonair Eyrie moved with an unparalleled swiftness across the dance floor.
"Well, you shouldn't mind then this is only friendly, Sir Hunter." He smirked wickedly at Hunter. "And you, my dear, are quite lovely."
"I'm... Charmed." Miraja blushed. She didn't even have time to decide before she was waltzing with the Eyrie. "But, I'd rather be dancing with-"
"Never mind him. Why settle for a knight, when you can settle for a lord?" Halbard whirled Miraja around and pulled her close. He was quite the dancer!

Saeryennan gasped.
"But how did you...only Nyvenne and I knew that!"
Upon hearing her name, the Air Faerie fluttered over.
"Knew what?" she asked calmly.
Saeryennan pointed at Fang. "He knows what prophecies I had!"
Nyvenne smiled.
"I've never seen you before," she said to Fang, "and yet you seem to be a prophet. I am the only Faerie who can give out prophecy that I know of..."
While Nyvenne was talking, Saeryennan slipped away. As she was sneaking around, she spotted a Faerie Korbat with green hair tied back under the table.
"Why, Katorcia! What - AA!"
The Korbat grabbed the Cybunny's foot and pulled her under the table.
"Shhh!" she said. "Fiyeri wants me to play 'Xandra,' and I really don't want to. Tell no one you've seen me," Katorcia whispered.
Mima's eyes were on the Eyrie. What was he doing with Miraja?
"Excuse me," she said, marching up to them. "But I believe she already has someone to dance with."

"Let's just say I've seen beyond the quadral barrier. I've gazed at horrors no one has ever seen, seen the makers of our world! Creatures who slave all day in their offices, insane beings who love nothing more than to change our world and eat asparagus!" Fang's eyes twitched, and a manic grin of someone who has seen unspeakable beings spread over his face.
"I don't believe you have a say in this, whelp." Halbard stopped dancing, roughly dropped Miraja down to the floor, and raised his gloved hand to swat at Mima! "You WILL learn your place, you insolent pu-RRRGH!" Halbard was knocked to the ground by a burning wrench, thrown by Vulcan
"Hey! Leave Mima alone, you jerk!" Vulcan curled into his shell and rolled over to his wrench, uncurled and picked his weapon of choice up. "I can have you thrown outta this party, pal! I may be small, but I'm tougher than I look!"
"Right, right. Miss... Mimo, was it? I do apologize. I have a bit of a temper problem, you see." Halbard dusted himself off and kissed Mima's paw. "And, Miss Miraja... I apologize to you, as well." Halbard assisted the Shenkuuvian Princess up. "A girl as pretty as you shouldn't be down in the dirt with these filthy... Commoners." On that last word, the Eyrie glared at Hunter balefully.

"I see..." Nyvenne said. She didn't know what "insane creatures" ate asparagus, but it didn't seem to be important.
"It's Mima, with an A," Mima said. "Technically, my full name is MimaSparks, but nevermind that."
She leaned in toward Hunter. "Get Miraja away from that...that Dark Faerie," she whispered.
Saeryennan had crawled out from under the table. How does one distract Fiyeri, she thought to herself.
Then she had it.
The princess walked up to the ruler of Katare Academy, a Cybunny with curly black hair tied back like Katorcia's.
"Hiya!" she said. "Isn't this party, like, you know, totally, like, awesome? I mean, come on! Isn't it?"
Fiyeri seemed to understand her own language.
"Yeah!" she said. "Have you seen Katorcia? I want her to - "
"Yeah, that Korbat is so totally silly!" Saeryennan interrupted. "It's, like, so not cool that she doesn't want to, you know, talk to you."
Katorcia took the opportunity to hide herself in the middle of the rulers.

"... Dark Faerie? I don't think Halbard is a Dark Faerie. He's... Something isn't right about him, but if he was a Faerie, I'm sure Fang would be able to tell if something was up." Hunter shook his head and walked up to Halbard. "Halbard! I command you to hand over Miraja right now!"
"Hand me over?! I am NOT property!" Miraja walked up to Hunter in a huff. "Do you think I'm PROPERTY, Hunter Galahad Penn?!" Miraja glared at Hunter, baring a single fang in her frown.
"No, I... I... Erm..." Hunter looked sheepishly to his side. "It's just that Halbard is... Well..."
"What am I, Penn? I'd love to hear it." The Eyrie stood behind Hunter, his arms crossed and with a confident smirk on his beak. "I... I have problems with my temper, alright? I've tried to get treatment for it, but one slip-up, and I'm suddenly evil?"
"..." Miraja silently stormed off towards her family.
"Alright, next parlor trick?" Fang smirked. Skarl was such an easily entertained rube!
"Oooh! Ooh!" Tyranno raised his hand and sat down next to Skarl. "Do th' one whar ya make them coins go away!"
"A magic trick involving coins?" Skarl looked suspiciously at Fang, pondering whether Fang could possibly be a sham. "HOPKINS!"
"Aye, sir?" A short old Royal Quiggle hopped up to Skarl, an annoyed look on his face. Now what did that fat idiot want?
"Bring me all of your coins! The Qasalan's about to perform a magic trick!" Skarl boomed, entranced by Fang's sleight of hand... Er, wing.
Hopkins raised a small green finger in objection! "If I may suggest, your highness, I think it's a sham-"
"NOW!" Boomed Skarl, and the frightened Quiggle butler handed Skarl his purse. "Now, as you were, Hissi?" Skarl tossed the purse to Fang, who grinned.
"Now, watch! I merely toss the coins in the air..." Fang threw the purse into the air after opening it, allowing the coins to spill as they fell, and... "Toidi taf gib a lraks gnik!" The coins disappeared in thin air, as their shadows fell into the open mouth of Fang's shadow.
"Gadzooks, that was by far the most astounding feat I have ever witnessed!" Skarl clapped stupidly. Hopkins slapped a hand to his forehead and groaned.
(OOC: I think it's obvious who "Halbard" is. And he isn't a Dark Faerie.)

(OOC: "Dark Faerie" was merely an insult.)
"I meant he's so much like a Dar - " Mima began, but Hunter walked away from her.
Saeryennan still didn't believe Fang was a genuine prophet, so she stopped talking to Fiyeri, who was boring her, and whispered a plan to Nyvenne.
The Air Faerie fluttered up to the Hissi.
"SchalaOfSaeryn and Caylis are deep in conversation over there," she said, pointing to a bench far away where Fang couldn't possibly overhear them. "What are they talking about?"
Schala had been talking about her Eyrie love, Victor. Now Caylis was telling her about the legends of Sakura, who had once been known as the Darkest Faerie. Schala had just asked if Sakura had spoken to her sister Fyora yet. Caylis said not that she knew of.

"Hmmm, let me check with my friends on the other side." Fang's shadow seemed to be whispering near Fang's ear... Or where it WOULD be, if Hissi had visible ears. "Schala is talking about her boyfriend Victor, Caylis was jabbering about the legends of the Darkest Faerie, Schala had asked if Sakura and spoken to Fyora, and Caylis had no clue. Now, my payment...?" Fang thrust out his hand... Wing... Thing with a smug grin on his face.
"Who invited a falthy pirate like you here?" Zarkos glowered at the staff of the Golden Dubloon. "If you think I'd ever trust one of your kind after what Scarblade did to my city..."
"Easy, easy. They're the caterers." A brown-haired Usul with a distinct Krawk Island brogue walked up beside the Jetsam. "Ye dunnae need t'worry 'bout them, Zarkos! Adventurer's honor!" Hannah curtised at the Maraquan Battlemaster. The two had been friends ever since they worked together to find the treasure of the Pirate Caves; Zarkos had provided the muscle as Hannah braved the pitfalls, clearing a path for the larger Jetsam.
"And what's HE doing here?" Zarkos gestured towards Kanrik, who was in a rather dapper tuxedo.
"In case you've forgotten, I'm her husband." Kanrik shook his head. Zarkos was a rather hard fellow to gain the trust of.

Nyvenne giggled.
"What do you expect me to pay you?" she asked. "I didn't bring Neopoints. I could give you prophecy, but you seem to have that already. Oh, I know! You can have...this."
Out of thin air a tiny Xandra materialized in Nyvenne's palm. Except she had darker hair and wore a Darkest Faerie dress. The illusion floated over to Fang and looked at him as though he were a pesky Petpetpet.
Nyvenne flew over to Hannah and grabbed some caviar.
Schala walked right up to Fyora, wanting to ask her something. Caylis stood right behind her.
"Your Majesty," she said, curtsying, "have you spoken to...to your sister?" She hoped she hadn't offended the Queen.
(OOC: Yep, I was struck with the Xandra spark a while back, but I'll try to resist Xandra references as they seem to kinda annoy people, I guess.)

(I guess this can be an alternate continuity, in which Kass had never returned yet.) "Ah, the Faerie Queen herself." Halbard bowed, a dishonest look in his eyes. "My, you Faeries are much shorter in person." It was true; although Faeries could enchant themselves to be smaller or taller in person, at this party, they retained their average height of five feet; Halbard and most other male Neopians at the party stood at their height or taller, with the exception of Vulcan. "So, how is your castle in the clouds, hmm?" Halbard knew what had happened; he just felt like rubbing the cataclysm in the Faerie Queen's face. "Oh, that's right! It crashed! Funny, that."
Meanwhile, Hunter was walking through the halls of the ski lodge to find Miraja's roome; there was so much dust and cobwebs. Not to mention how the portraits seemed to stare at him. "Whoever, built this place must be very fond of villains..." Portraits of Neopia's six most evil villains gazed down at him. Captain Scarblade, the pirate captain who went mad after he lost the woman he loved, Merra, and attempted to destroy Maraqua twice; General Atillus, the vicious Kougra warlord who had nearly taken the city of Shenkuu and tried to force Miraja to be his bride; Madame LeFae, a cruel and twisted Krawk witch who lived in the darkest depths of Bogshot and commanded hordes of zombies, as well as resurrecting the Plague Serpent; Morlok, the thuggish Skeith who enslaved Moltara's Magma tribe and ruled the steam city's criminal underworld; Baron Von Zeppel, the crazed Pteri Air Pirate leader who whipped up a massive sandstorm over Goldrun to hide his attempts to blow up the entire town so he could have all the gold he wanted; and finally, Lord Kass, the monstrous young tyrant who had killed his father. Their eyes seemed to track Hunter as he went along, their evil glares piercing into his soul. "They're just paintings, anyway. There's no way they could harm me," Hunter reassured himself. "Besides," he reasoned, "They've all been defeated by me and my friends." Hunter continued down the hallway.
(Yes, I made four of those villains up. For one thing, Neopia's needed a voodoo sorceress who summons zombies, and I believe that the air pirates from AotA were a bunch of wasted potential. That, and I needed a crazy little villain with an inferiority complex. As for Attilus and Mortak, Shenkuu and Moltara need villains.)
