This is one of the new things I'll try. I will put several words on this board. I will also put four definitions next to them. Some of them will be easy, some will be harder. Some will have bonus questions (they don't count, it's just to see if you know them)! Complete the quiz, then post your answers on a reply. The first three people who get a perfect score win a prize! Please post your Neopets username along with your results. Good luck! Here are the questions:
1. Stevedore
a. a hillbilly named Steve Dore
b. a dock worker
c. someone who is intrepid
d. a hero

b. a type of weapon used in ancient warfare
c. a covered portico
d. a curse
3. Nepenthe
a. repentance

c. a sad movie, play, etc.
d. an unfortunate event
4. Glom

Okay, here's the score chart:
0: EIther you've just graduated third grade, or you NEED to work on your vocab!
1: You can do better than that! What happened back there? Get studying!
2. With a bit more work, you could ace this. However, this helped you. I bet you didn't even know that there was such a thing as a stevedore.
3. Just a few shaky areas to be cleaned up, and you'll be fine. Concentrate on those questions you got wrong.
4. GREAT JOB! Your vocab is simply rock-solid!
5. AMAZING! You have true talent! Don't worry about the bonuses, they were hard.
If you got the bonuses too...
6. Holy cow! Do you study vocabulary by candlelight? You rock!
7. There is no adjective that can describe you. Consider yourself gifted.
