*I cant believe I haven't made a thread for this yet.* OK SO. About 7 months ago Fish draw Mad as a human. I thought the idea was awesome so I jumped on the band wagon. Now I have 23 pets. (Before you go OMG UR NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE 23 ONLY 20 IM GONNA REPORT U 3 of them are owned by my best friend and I just use their characters. NOT THE PET.) So. I've finished quite a few of them I will update with pictures as I draw them. Also If you draw a humanized neopet, post it! 8D OK remember I started this project about 6 months ago so my art style has changed a bit. ^^;  This was the first Humanized pet OF MINE that I did. Maal the Ice Krouga.  This is/was my pink Lupe, Rochejii.  Here's my Red Lutari, Axel!  Here's my Jelly Shoyru, Rex! (rex7299)  This is my spotted lupe, Blake!  My royal scorchio, Slickor.   Here is My Usuki usul, Imazie, and my Halloween Poogle, Dacrian.  My island shoyru, Dalton. (Daracoza)  My main man, Benoro! the *not yet* Pirate Lutari! (_Benoro_)  These guys were my original 4 pets! M.C. the chocolate Ogrin (Mumuchiaci) Mimi the fire Kacheek (Mimi0_mimi0_a22) Madison the Biscuit Yurble (Madison090) and Brutice the Royal Acara (Brutice99)!  This is a better picture of Brutice and Dacrian.   This was a comic I did for Komori featuring a female Benoro and a Human Tombstones.   This is my pet, Bradley the Snow Jetsam(Beretino) and Buizels Darigan Floatsam, Dezlon.  Here's my latest picture of my Snot Buzz, Dusty (Dsut) and my *sson to be* striped Meerca, Rede. (Revokres)  Here's my chocolate Ogrin, Mumuchiaci. Here are some humanized pets that the artists of the NTWF have done too! (just ask me if you want your characters added/removed) |

Gyaaaaaaah why is this all so awesome? O__O Now I'm tempted to do the same with my pets. Must...refrain. Must...refrain...
The expressions are my favorite part. It makes the mood clear and the drawings interesting, although...I'm being Captain Obvious there. xD
One thing I'd suggest is perhaps toning down the colors, making them a little more natural, because at times they can be a bit too bright.

Heehee, I love how you have so many characters and yet they're all unique and distinct from one another. That's a really tricky thing to do, especially when they're all humans!
And I'm now really tempted to try drawing a human Spooky cast. XD

I'm sorry to say this but...ever considered trying..um..sort of different noses and face shapes more often. I sometimes find your characters have the same face and nose shape..not ALL the characters..but most of them. Might i suggest trying out some new things just to see how it would go and what not. like....long noses..long faces..or really chubby looks...different eye shapes. I have a problem with making different eyes. But..yeah..just thought you might want to try some more.....facial changes. You don't have to take these those. Keep it the same as you wish. It's your drawings. Now i feel terrible for writing this..don't kill me.  Now on some good notes. I so want to try this but i'm to lazy to attempt it...bleh..so lazy. I love the colours and the cotume designs. Some more indepth shading would make these twice as awesome as they are now. And some lighting. I love your drawings. I do's. ;D ;D ;D |

@ Nat: I'm not the first to do this. XD Jump on the bandwagon! We have cookies! And I agree. Sometimes my colors can be slightly aggressive, but I usually do it to catch the eye. (Or blind it I guess. XD) @ Komori: Thanks! I try to not fall into the mary sue design *although I have at times.. XD; And I would love to see a humanized Claw, Echo, Komo, and Tombstones! -imagines Echo running abound in a flowery apron- @ Roughtiger: Don't feel bad! I need to be told on what to work on so I can improve! I've tried changing nose shapes, but it always looks... Weird. Like really weird. XD I really want to change it up, but I'm not good with that sort of thing. So I'll promise to work on it! @ Marill: Thanks! I remember seeing Kenshin I think! I thought it looked cool! *high five* |

Of course you saw it Cappa, you even favoritized it xD *highs five back*
It seems that you need a nosejob *brick'd*.
Try looking for pictures of different noses and start practicing with them, so you can become better at drawing them. Then, you can choose which one fits each of your characters.

*discovers that humanizing Neopets is very, very difficult.*  Not only is it hard to capture the species-characteristics in human anatomy/hairstyles, but I kinda' already have OCs who are similar to my Neopets, because my Neos were originally based on my OCs. o____o They're different now, but their origins are kinda' still there.... Yeek. And, because it's rude to hijack your thread with stuff I'm drawing, I also wanted to say I disagree about the strong colors. I mean, yep, they are pretty strong, but then, that's kinda' the Neopets-ness coming through. Neopets are SUPER colorful. :B |

Good thing all my pets are girls. ^^
Oh, and to comment, I have to say that Dezlon's design was pulled off really well--I could recognize him as Darigan immediately (or Darigan is just really, really easy to recognize. ^^). With others, it's a little harder, but I do agree that your humanizations are pulled off pretty well. And they're all pretty unique.
In short: awesome. ^^

Komori may I try my hand at humanizing Komo? :3 Aww thank you, Killix!  And thanks, Michelle! Yeah I try to incorporate at least SOME of the neopet's original design, But the problem that I have is that can turn a humanized character into a generic human. Like With Dsut, He's a snot buzz, so if a did some kid with a cold, it would end up generic for me. So would you think that a snot buzz would be a sweater-vest wearing Bulky type? XD I like to go in the opposite direction of the stereotypical design. For me: Jetsam = Meek shy geeky kid. XD So uhh.. Wait that didn't make any sense... Umm.. Never mind any of that. Oh! Komori may I try my hand at humanizing Komo? :3 Sure, go for it. ;D I hadn't thought about human Komo when he was glowing, but I think now that he's Desert he'd be at least a little bit Egyptian-looking as a human. :3 |
