We can keep using and re-using Energy Cards though, so I don't see how that's too much of a problem. I play Wild Omni. I tap my Fire Energy and have Wild Omni use Tooth and Nail for 1 damage to Vyt! ...Maybe there should be a rule that keeps me from ambushing you like that. >_> Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)Untapped Energies - Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped Vyt (2/3)

First-round grace period perhaps? It'll be the round where both players cannot attack each other.
[dice=30] [dice=30] [dice=30] [dice=30] [dice=30] [dice=30] [dice=30]
I put a Fire Energy and Spaceman Strife.
I tap one Fire Energy for Spaceman Strife to use Blaster Pistol on Wild Omni! Spaceman Strife deals 2 Damage.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F) Untapped Energies - Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped
Vyt (2/3) Tapped Energies - (F) Untapped Energies - Spaceman Strife - 5/5 - Tapped
Feel free to suggest anything about this variant, Amneiger. I really need some so I can decide.[rand=36477596288607045279442940661857462308189512489148351062877204053]

Yes, a grace period would be good.
I untap my Fire Energy and Wild Omni.
[dice=30]
I play a Fire Energy and Killix.
I tap both of my Fire Energies. Wild Omni uses one Energy to use Tooth and Nail, and Killix uses one Energy for Thwack. 4 damage to Spaceman Strife.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(F)[/cjolor] Untapped Energies - Wild Omni - 5/7 - Tapped Killix - 7/7 - Tapped
Vyt (2/3) Tapped Energies - (F) Untapped Energies - Spaceman Strife - 1/5 - Tapped
Well, since we don't have a bench here, we should probably use the rules Jina was talking about for N-T-W-Foh. [rand=68658872009441219908168698876578358862348600619947880294711458238]

Please elaborate. I'm too dumb to see what she posted. T_T
[dice=30]
I untap all my cards.
I play a Light Energy card.
I tap all three Energy cards. Spaceman Strife uses Blaster Pistol and Vyt uses Tackle on Wild Omni. Wild Omni takes 5 Damage and is KO'd.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies Untapped Energies - (F)(F)(L) Wild Omni - 0/7 Killix - 7/7
Vyt (2/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(L)(L) Untapped Energies - Spaceman Strife - 1/5 - Tapped Vyt - 6/6 - Tapped [rand=192004695210268972031085180397146469882786923929919061360811683333]

*rereads* Wait, there isn't a defense position in Magic. >_> Never mind.
Draw:
[dice=30]
I play another Light Energy and another Wild Omni.
I tap both of my Fire Energies for Wild Omni and one Light Energy for Killix.
Killix attacks Spaceman Strife for 2 damage and a KO.
Wild Omni attacks Vyt for 3 damage.
Is there carry-over damage for this game? I don't think there was in the original Magic.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(F)(L) Untapped Energies - (L) Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped Killix - 7/7 - Tapped

No carry-over damage. >:3
[dice=30]
I untap all my cards.
Okay, I see "Hi-Lo" as a card that will not function properly. I'll put it in the Modifications spoiler someday.
I play Amneiger and a Fire Energy card.
I evolve Vyt into Energy Tentacles Vyt.
I tap two Light Energy cards and a Fire Energy card for Vyt to attack Killix using Tentacle Whip.
Killix takes 5 Damage.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(F)(L) Untapped Energies - (L) Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped Killix - 2/7 - Tapped
Vyt (2/3) Tapped Energies - (L)(L)(L) Untapped Energies - (F) Energy Tentacles Vyt - 6/9 - Tapped [rand=04405484397597831845811629462734503598283327501039535764958391304136]

*curses*
Tornado won't work particularly well here either. Or attacks that target the bench.
Draw:
[dice=30] Change to 20.
I untap everything.
I play Pyro to my bench.
I tap two Light Energies for Wild Omni and two Fire Energies for Pyro. Wild Omni and Killix attack Energy Tentacles Vyt for 3 and 3 damage.
3 + 3 = 6 damage. KO.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(F)(L)(L) Untapped Energies - Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped Killix - 2/7 - Untapped Pyro - 5/5 - Tapped

I'm considering lowering the amount of cards untapped in a turn down to five. If that happens, I'll also be considering lowering the required Energy cards tapped to play Event cards and might even start adding a rule about having to tap Energy cards to play Uncommon and Rare Fighter cards. Any suggestions?
It seems we've both forgotten something. Amneiger, playing Event cards require tapping Energy cards (2 for Common, 3 for Uncommon and 4 for Rare), so you lack the required Energy cards to pull out a Frag Grenade and two attacks. I, on the other hand, forgot to add Amneiger to the list.
I might have to wait for you to change it.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(F)(L) Untapped Energies - (L) Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped Killix - 2/7 - Tapped
Vyt (2/3) Tapped Energies - (L)(L)(L) Untapped Energies - (F) Energy Tentacles Vyt - 6/9 - Tapped Amneiger - 5/5 - Untapped[rand=262116064520077544447853499964296587521744964525485297431909381]

...Whoops. >_>
Before I change that, why do you want to lower the number of cards that can be untapped? I'm assuming that we can still tap as many cards as we want at the start of a turn, and I do remember that in the original Magic there were no tap/untap limits.

I'm assuming that we can still tap as many cards as we want at the start of a turn, and I do remember that in the original Magic there were no tap/untap limits. *late reply* Considering that certain cards in NTWF TCG are known to be abusive (Leocookies, for example, gives a whopping 4 HP heal for a Common), I've decided to put down an untap limit. That limit hasn't been decided yet, and originally I placed 10 cards as the limit to give way to attacking Fighters. I'm quite aware of Magic's original rule of untapping all cards. Oh, and if you're hesitant to move, we'll still follow the rules I've set up. That means I won't be implementing the new rules that will possibly pop up in this match yet.

Okay then. I've changed my move; since I've tapped six cards this turn, I'll have to leave a card tapped and unusable next turn, right?

The old rules still apply here, since the match started before the changes. That means that single Energy will remain untapped.
Which brings me to another problem: Energy. I think there should be a penalty for not being able to expend all the Energy cards in each turn, since the duelist will just put down every Energy card s/he gets otherwise. Any suggestions?
Also, I think you're referring to Pyro instead of Killix. Killix can't make a 3-damage attack as far as I can remember.
[dice=30]
I put down a Fire Energy card.
I play Self-Proclaimed Dunburrow Steed.
I tap two Fire Energy cards and two Light Energy cards. Amneiger uses Lab Equipment on Killix for 3 Damage. Killix is KO'd. Self-Proclaimed Dunburrow Steed uses Mighty Moo on Pyro for 4 Damage.
Amneiger (3/3) Tapped Energies - (F)(F)(L) Untapped Energies - (L) Wild Omni - 7/7 - Tapped Killix - -1/7 - Untapped Pyro - 1/5 - Tapped
Vyt (2/3) Tapped Energies - (L)(L)(F)(F) Untapped Energies - (L) Amneiger - 5/5 - Tapped Self-Proclaimed Dunburrow Steed - 8/8 - Tapped[rand=349282881841406673151259020031791545933451915604331343150197897085]

Yeah, I did mean Pyro xD And since you were suggesting new rules, I thought we might as well start testing them now.
Wait, what did the old rules say about tapping energy? I knew that both Wild Omni and Pyro needed two energy each for their 3 damage attacks, so I tapped four energies for them.
And what's wrong with letting players put down as much energy as they can? The only reason I can think of is to limit the amount of damage a player can deal during one turn, but that'd probably have the same effect as running out of energy during a regular match and players who don't run out of energy should have similar levels of firepower.
