Since the end of the Mysterious Manor tournament, the NTWF TCG has been in a slowdown because of no interesting contests for players to join in. The coordinators of this game had been talking about a lot of things that can spice up this game, and they have stumbled upon various topics.
One of which is this.
Ever since this rule was created, the "elemental advantage" rule had been confusing some of the players. Due to the complexity of the rule and the difficulty of memorizing the patterns of elements, some had chosen not to follow this rule.
This is why we had come here: to see if the players still wish for the rule to exist.
Let me give you some opinion for both sides so you can decide, but you are free to express your own thoughts in this thread.
Yes:
The elemental advantage should be retained because it adds up to both strategizing points and luck factor. Players can never expect what the opponents will pull out, and somehow the rule helps them predict for that (for example, a player would really opt to choose a Fighter that will not take extra damage if s/he wants to pull out an Active Fighter). Without the rule, plays will be a bit bland, as the only deciding factor will be the rarity and value of the cards which are currently hard to get, especially for those who had not played much. Take note that with this rule, the "anything can happen" observation can still be... observed.
No:
As I've said earlier, the elemental advantage rule has been constantly ignored for some of the matches. Eliminating this rule will remove the confusion among players, and will simplify the card battle system. Players will now be able to play their then-vulnerable Fighters, and will not be freaked out by the complexity of this rule.
Can you change the outcome of this poll with your vote? YES YOU CAN. *Obama thwack'd*
