Should I write for Neopian Times, the same way I write any other story? I'm planning on writing a story to submit to The Neopian Times but I'm not sure if there is any specific way I should write. Should I write my story just like it was any other story, except neopets related? Or should I write it a little more for playful and fun? I write really deep so I was just wondering.
I've never submitted an article or story and really want this one to be the best one.

"Really deep" can get accepted; humor is always somewhat good in a story, but a lot of the published pieces are serious. Personally, I'm awful at humor, and the closest I can come is ort of a light-hearted tone. I think you should try writing the same as you always do for the Times. If that fails, you could try writing a little lighter, but do whatever feels best for you. Welcome to the Forums, by the way--our own little den of insanity. ;D

Thanks so much. I think I'm going to stick to the way I always write like you suggested. It's always worked before. Thanks so much for the advice.

I suppose you should write how you feel comfortable, although it depends on the subject you are writing about. Your tone should be appropriate for your subject, but I'm sure you will be able to figure it out as you go along. Just sort of write how you think it should be and what you are feeling you should do and see... It's amazing how well something turns out when you just sort of go for it. Good Luck!

Well, I've long since learned that if you force yourself to write in a different way, eventually, you'll be better off and a more versatile writer for it. But your first few attempts will generally either seem rather odd or contrived.
