Do you normally type them the first time, then just make corrections later? Or do you write your stories on paper and then transfer them to your PC.
I like to write my stories on paper, so I can write whenever I want. I do not have a laptop. Plus I can lookout for errors when I transfer it to my computer. The problem with my method, is that I have lost my notebook that had my series on Ice Climbing. I think I am going to start a new series and if I find my old notebook, I will finish the Ice Climbing Series then too.
Another Reason I like the Pen and Paper method is that I can not write as fast as I can type. Though I do not always get every thought on paper as fast as I wish, I force myself to slow down and write it the way I want to and not just throw a sloppy story down.

I'm the opposite. I prefer typing. I usually write my ideas down on paper, but all of my drafts are on the computer. I like typing because I type very fast, and therefore I can think and then the words appear on the page. This means more editing, but it's great to see the letters there as soon as I think them. Also, it makes editing easier to just delete a word here, or add a comma there, etc. (my edits are usually that small, quibbling over which word to use) I can see both sides of the issue though. I just prefer typing.

I think another reason I like writing them down, is because I used to have a really bad computer that would randomly need to be wiped. Now that I have a new one I have written a few things straight on it. Such as a short story that I wrote on the spur of the moment.

To be honest, my writing is all over the place. Inspiration comes at completely random times for me, and I like to scribble down various scenes and excerpts whenever it does happen. I would say that I like typing directly onto the computer most, but if you took a look at my notebook you would likely find several unrelated snatches of writing all jumbled together (I can only imagine what would happen if someone tried to "read" my notebook from cover to cover x3). As well, I tend to prefer writing the first few pages of a story by hand, just as a tradition. I dunno. Possibly it makes that first glimpse of the story seeem more solid and secure in my eyes.

I type most of my stories. I find it a lot easier, for a variety of reasons. Mostly because I'm lazy, and writing with a pen makes my hand hurt; also because I tend to smudge writing because I'm left handed, and because my writing's all but illegible anyway. I just find it easier, I guess.

I write on the computer. I've written stuff on paper before, when I didn't have access to a computer, but I find it's just a pain to copy what I've written on paper into the computer when I want to show it to people online and stuff.

I generally type my stories. However, most of the time they are well-formulated in my head before I even open a document or, if the case may be, pick up a pen.

I prefer to type them out. My handwriting is horrible yet my memory is good. I can hold onto my idea until i get to a computer. My stories are also quite long and I'm very lazy so writing them out would either bore me or make my hand hurt, if not both. Finally I find the clacking of the keys quite meditative so they help me concentrate.

I type. Either on Notepad or MS Word. (Usually, my NT stories are on Word and DeviantART stories are on Notepad.)

[shadow=purple,left,300]I use the computer, mainly. There's just something about me typing that seems to inspire me more. XD Sometimes ideas simply stay in my head and I can recall them, and other times I write them down.
I wrote my second publication, also my first short story, in a notebook and edited and added to it on the computer. But ever since then, I rarely do that...[/shadow]

Like Tamia, I do a bit of both. Back when I started writing for the NT, I would write almost exclusively on paper, since I was rarely near a computer when inspiration struck. Now that my family has an extra computer, I'm able to type more of my stories, and I do so. The exceptions now are those moments in the middle of the night, when I'm trying to sleep, and some brilliant idea, image, phrase, etc pops into my head. Interestingly enough, those moments usually lead to some of my best and/or favorite writing. I've got a notebook laying on the side of my bed for when that happens. ^_^

I do almost all of my writing on the computer. I just find it way easier and faster to type than to write, plus I can't stand retyping things.

I write on the computer... because i type 10x faster than i write. =P And my writing is very messy, and it would be a big pain. I only write when it's just scenes and stuff, when i dont have a computer. It's just better for me when i write on the computer. ^^

I like to write by hand first most of the time. Then I can edit it when I type it. But if I'm on the computer already, and feel like writing, I just type it. I guess I like to write it because I can take my notebooks wherever I go. I do write in my classes sometimes, if it's a class I can get away with it in. Plus, I like to doodle random stuff in the margins when I'm thinking, which I can't do on the computer. Also, I can write in my room without anyone bugging me. And there's just something about ink on paper and the right pen that a computer just can't match.

I almost always type, but in sixth grade, I did almost every piece of my writing on paper. Was not good when the number of pages started adding up, and I realized I would soon have to start typing...;-; Eighty. Pages. PAIN.
