In case anyone missed the Marshadow distribution for (standard) Sun/Moon (not compatible with Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon), I have a spare code which I'll just post here because it expires after tomorrow: A72Z D5GL UALT EHR9 Also, the next distribution will be sent over newsletter e-mail from Pokémon Trainer Club, so make sure to sign up on the official Pokémon website before the end of the month if you want your serial code from that.

To Pokemon Bank users: if you recently renewed or downloaded the application, you can get all 3 Gen 7 starters (fully evolved) with their hidden abilities (Long Reach, Intimidate and Liquid Voice for Decidueye, Incineroar and Primarina, respectively)

Double-posting because I am personally wondering if anyone here has a Skrelp or Dragalge with its hidden ability (Adaptability) and would be willing to trade it for something! (They're available from X/Y Friend Safari, Omega Ruby, and Ultra Moon endgame)

(They're available from X/Y Friend Safari, Omega Ruby, and Ultra Moon endgame) I know I bred a box or two of Skrelp in Omega Ruby a couple years ago, so I might? I gotta go out and shovel some snow right now, but I can check a little later tonight to see what I have.

Quick update for Pokemon Bank users: Renew or start your subscription by Halloween (October 31) in order to be eligible to receive the 3 Gen 7 starters with hidden abilities. Also, doctortomoe, I just received my newsletter today. Not sure what the delay was (as they usually sent it out closer to the beginning of the month), but hopefully, you'll get yours soon. However, I'm certain that the code sent out can only be used once (I haven't tried it yet)

I do wish the Detective Pikachu demo had been released prior to the actual game (it's now available in the EShop).

New Mythical Pokemon revealed. SourceThe one thing that stands out about it is that it's... really really fast. Slower than Electrode or Accelgor, but faster than Mega Mewtwo Y/Mega Manectric/Mega Gengar.
Otherwise, it has pretty good coverage in its movepool (though less than Electivire which has middling Speed holding it back), a boosting option in Hone Claws, and an exclusive move with a secondary effect that works well with its ability (would turn Normal-type moves into Electric moves which heal it thanks to Volt Absorb, basically acting as a damaging Ion Deluge); could be useful depending on whether it erases all secondary effects (like Rapid Spin entry hazard clearout) and/or pre-empts the type change from -ate abilities. It seems it doesn't have priority, though, so it wouldn't affect things like Extreme Speed and Fake Out anyways.
Not thrilling but kind of cool I guess? Honestly, mono-Electric typing isn't exciting and it would be nice if it could have had dual STABs (between its level-up moveset and even just design-wise, it definitely looks like it should be Electric/Fighting, which would give it much-needed power on its Fighting coverage, neutralize a Flying weakness and give it a couple nice resistances).
And aside from Speed, its stats are nothing to write home about--its Special Attack is middling at best and its physical Attack is half-decent but still lower than the likes of Unfezant and, the species I suspect will still see a lot more use than this, Tapu Koko.
Anyone who's more into competitive stuff than me want to weigh in?

Just a quick reminder that online features will likely cost you the online subscription fee; not sure if that includes trading Pokémon, but that’s probably true.
