Time to say goodbye - Psycho and Kit

Psycho and I have been talking for a while, and we have decided that it would be in both our interests if we took our leave from this forum. Nobody is to blame for this, it's just that we both want to move on. The NTWF has been a great place to me, and I have grown deeply attached to the people here, and to the place. Too attached perhaps. It's time we took a break, it could be for a month, six months, a year, forever.. we don't know. Perhaps one of us will return and the other won't. The forum has been at the center of my life for a long time, and it's time for me to set my life back in order. It pains me a little to write this, but perhaps when one day I'm satisfied, I'll return.

I'm sorry for leaving on such short notice. The thing I regret the most is not carrying the Guild Wars roleplay out until the end. I hope you'll be able to forgive me for that. I'll still be available on MSN, and I hope the friendships I've made here will hold fast. But one thing I ask of you all, please do not deluge me with IMs asking me why I'm leaving or to ask me to return. I don't want to have to block any one of you.

It's been a great time, and I thank you all for that. But my life does need rearranging, and perhaps I'll meet some of you somewhere else online. I don't know.

This is not an April's fool joke. If you wish to take it as such, so be it.

Perhaps you should've held off until April 1 was over in most of the world. Otherwise you cast a lot of doubt and not quite the air of seriousness this post should have with it.

I understand this needing to move on, though. There are more important things in life than an internet forum. All I say to you on that, however, is that just because you don't want it to be central to your life, don't feel you can't occasionally pop in when you feel like it. Breaks are good for regaining direction and clarity of mind, but maintaining your life IRL and frequenting a forum are not two mutually exclusive ideas (as I can exhibit in my own life and my own activity here).

Go out, live your lives, make memories, have good times, gain stories to share and tell, and so forth. Just know there'll always be a place for you two here, regardless of how often or how rarely you stop by to fill the void.

Thanks Stal. I'm just here for a quick moment to tie up some loose ends, and to say that I did this because I'm not mature enough to have enough willpower to stay away from this place when RL calls me to do more important things. There is a lot for me to learn before I am able to balance two lives - real life and the NTWF (which includes Neopets).

I love it here and I do intend on returning one day, even if I may not be the same person who is leaving now.

And my personal feeling was that if I didn't act right away, even if the day happened to be April Fool's Day, then I would never again find enough strength to leave... Kit and I just happened to be ready to go at the same time, which helped me some.

I have a lot of growing to do on my own, even though growing with all of you is much cherished and well worth the laughter, tears and insanity.

Well, farewell now! This really isn't supposed to be a sad thing.

I was hoping it was just a prank, but even with Kit's record, I didn't think you would do such a thing ^^

It is sad you are both leaving, but it does have to be done at some point in our NTWF lives and I hope you can both gets everytihng you wanted out of it. Hopefully we will see you both back here soon or eventually if it isn't that quick.

I'm going to surely miss both of you. You've both made an impact on lives here in the NTWF & we will all miss you. You're not going to be forgotten by myself, at least. Someday we'll look back at both of you're deeds, traditions, inside jokes you've given us and dedicate them to both of you. It was great debating with you guys over a lot.

Future NTWF forumers will all either be a male, a female, a Kitsune, a shadow, and anything else we can think of. ! You're leaving a brilliant legacy. Thanks so much for your magnificent posts in the Guild Wars. I really, really, really appreciate them. I'll be sure to make an avatar image of both of you to honor you guys.

Myself...I am honored to have known you. You can't compare with friends like you. Keep on keeping on. I'm glad I could see you through to the end. Adios, amigos.

I will miss both of you, and I hope all things are well.

Psycho, we may not have ever gotten close, but for the short time that we interacted, it was wonderful. Thank you. If not for you, I'd still confuse my "thee"s and "thou"s.

Kit, I don't know where to begin. I can't quite say how or when we became friends, but I have definitely valued your friendship and I shall not forget it. I suppose it's time to rise up from being a mere apprentice and do more for the 'bloids, huh? Or not. We'll have to see.

Change happens. People come into our lives and people step out of them. The sadness one feels in leaving, and in having someone close to them leave, is one unlike other sadnesses, for though it hurts as anything else, it is a pain that is grown from joy, joy that we have enriched each others' lives, shared a part of them even, and that we, too, may grow onwards. Sadness will not last forever, but joy will be immortal, much as the memories we have shared.

I wish you both the best in your ventures from here on. May we meet again someday.
