[glow=red,2,300]I have two apologies to make.
One is for the delay.
The other is for the fact that I seem to dominate this chapter. Well, Sammy and I anyway. I just wanted to make this less like the banter we had going on the Domination thread and more like a story with a plot. I'll keep my ego out of the next part, I promise. And I'll take a look at things from a ninja's point of view.[/glow]
April Fools and Changing Rules
Part Four
Ery bit his lip as he saw Rider bleeding on the floor. For a moment, his face betrayed his true emotions. “Um…”
Sammy, meanwhile, was rummaging through Rider’s leather satchel. “Take this!” She cried, sprinkling Phoenix Down all over Rider’s prone form. White feathers floated, reflecting light from everywhere at once. Two caressed the lass’s eyelids, and they opened. Three more mended the wound in her head.
Rider staggered up. “Between the lightning and the attacks, it’s a wonder I have any brain cells left.”
“Who said you had any in the first place?” Sammy asked with a smile.
Nick walked in.
He beat Crystal over the head with a ferocious gopher.
He walked out.
We stared.
And now, back to our feature presentation.
Rider and Sammy were faced with a few-odd dozen ninjas, most of whom were waving katanas and one of whom was very ticked off because of a certain dog and gopher. Sammy’s hands glowed black. “I’ll hold them off. See what you can do with the machinery.”
“Gotcha. Be careful.”
“Yep.” A blast of black magic rocked the ninjas, causing some to fall from the ceiling. Rider swore she saw birds fly around their heads as though this were all a cartoon.
The Cap’n returned to examining the control panel. Too many buttons…
A large red button sat in the middle of the control panel with the words, “DO NOT PUSH” in six different languages.
Rider pushed.
Green lightning streaked through the room, seeming to come from every direction. The eyes of the brainwashed grew as round as saucers. Purple bolts lanced back from them. Rider gritted her teeth as her own blue lightning coursed through her system. It wasn’t painful, per se. But it felt as though her entire head was caving in. Her pupils dilated; her hand glued to the button. The ninjas looked at each other in confusion. Sammy winced, shielding her eyes from the light.
All at once, it stopped. But Rider’s palm continued to fizz.
“Where am I?” Carrie asked dazedly.
Luna looked around also. “Are we dead? Is this heaven?”
Snorkles grimaced. “Doesn’t smell like it.”
“Nor does it look like it,” Kat agreed. “Who took over the décor?”
All eyes zoomed towards Kiddo. The ninja sensei gave a snort of disgust. “What would you lot have done, whitewashed the walls and cover them with pictures of Jeran and Hannah?”
“Actually…”
“Don’t answer! You drunken fools. You cannot beat us ninjas.”
Tracy added a clichéd little “MUAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAAA!” at the end. She and Ery, being the first to be brainwashed, were still under the ninjas’ spell.
Rider drew her cutlass, blue sparks dancing across its steel surface. “I beg to differ, Kiddo-sama.”
Ninjas were moving towards the doors and windows. We were surrounded. Mindela sat in the corner, sipping chai. “There's no way you could outpwn us with an admin as our sensei so why don't you just quit while you're behind?”
“Rider, give us a break.” Like a piece of night sky falling to the earth, Stall fell from the ceiling and gracefully landed on his feet. “Patjade fell before Kiddo, do you think you're stronger than she?”
Rider smiled recklessly. “I think I just have more firepower and a better lucky pair of socks.”
“Besides,” Eri said with a smile, “There are things more powerful than admin powers.”
Tracy shook her head. “Crystal + Stal + Kiddo + Brainwashed Tracy seems to outpwn Rider.”
The air in the room began to thicken like soup. You could hear a pebble drop.
Rider broke the silence. “Kiddo, I challenge you to a duel in front of the entire NTWF. Ninja vs. pirate in a stunning showdown, the battle to end all battles. Do you accept?”
“Normally, I would. But sadly, I have to go sit around with a bunch of long-haired males and play Dungeons and Dragons. Plus, now that ninjas rule the forum, I can godmode.” At once, two ninjas seized Rider’s arms, and another two grabbed the ninja Eri. “See to it that she's brainwashed correctly this time.”
The ninja sensei vanished in a puff of smoke.
Nick somehow got his paws on a pink pony dipped in pie and somehow managed to beat Tracy over the head with it. He was promptly apprehended as well.
The ninjas dragged Rider towards the chair. Though she was a small girl, she packed quite a kick. And she couldn’t reach above the belt.
“Make havoc!” she cried, elbowing one of Eri’s captors in the ribs. Eri thwapped the other with her katana. Nick did a 180 degree twist and bit one of his ninjas. I held my breath and hoped that Nick had his rabies shot. The anti-ninja rebels scattered as though Hades’s hounds were after them.
Havoc indeed there was.
Boards were created. Boards were destroyed. Boards were moved. Titles were changed. Messages were changed. Filters were changed. Rider’s name was changed. Ninjas were simultaneously trying to capture the pirates and clean up the rebellious mess that they made. In the confusion, many were able to escape through the windows. Crystal knocked Rider back into the mind control chair. The electric-blue fizz on Rider’s hands grew stronger.
“AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS!!” “AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS!!” Sammy shouted again and again, lances of black magic knocking the ninjas down the bowling pins. The ones near the window, at least. “Come on guys, here’s your chance! Get out of here! I’ll get the Cap’n!”
“Sammy, get-“
Purple lightning hissed through the wires of the mind control chair. It clashed with the blue sparks, tangled with them in a flashing multicolored dance. Through the blue-violet haze in her left eye, Rider could see Nick being re-captured and… erm… losing his privileges.
Thankfully, then her world went dark. (Wait, didn’t I end the last chapter with something like this?)
