Dwarf Hamster...I once saw those at the pet store. What are they like? How do you tell the difference between a male and a female one? Umm, don't know how to tell the difference from a male or female (at the petstore I got mine from they colour coded the cages) but they're like 5x lighter(in weight) than a normal hamster, and usually about 4 inches long. Soooo cute.

Bassariscus astutus: The Ringtail Cat. They live near Texas and Arizona and are fairly common in the deserts. They like eating mice, fruits, chicken, and insects. They used to be kept by Miners as the equivilant to cats to chase mice out of the mines. They're known to be very sweet, playful, curious, and cuddly. ^^

There are actually Ringtail Cat breeders around. They're supposed to make very loving pets. ^^ I've been looking into possibly getting one for about two years now.

We actually have capybaras AND patagonian cavies at a nearby zoo! I THINK that patagonian cavies are what you posted, because cavy is a name for a guinea pig. Could be wrong, though.

We also have Coypu living in the wild There's a picture of one on this thread, somewhere. I think they're rare though and I'm pretty sure that they only live in East Anglia, which is probably near to where you live, Will. I'd love to see a Coypu in the wild. Actually, to save people trying to find a picture of one, I'll post the pic here: They're awesome! Okay, for some reason, the pic won't show up. Anyway, wanna see what a Coypu looks like? search Google or just go to page 2 of this thread...if you're not too lazy XD

Weren't copyu's the ones that were accidentally released into the wild and were vicious, and were completely wiped out by nature people? I saw a programme on it, people still see them occasionally... I think it's a copyu...

I think it's a copyu... Yeah. That's why they're so rare. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with un-native animals living in England. What about rabbits and mink and things? They're not native yet people don't see so much of a problem with them. Anyway, it is my dream to see a Coypu in the wild!
