*sings more* No one thought I would come this far It's evident that they Thought it was just a childish dream That it would fade away Well I've got news for you peeps I'm playing for keeps It doesn't matter what you say
You can't take me down I'm not gonna stop now I'm heading for the top now You can't break me down I started as a long shot But then I found my sweet spot You can't make me frown There's nothing you can do or say I'm gonna take it all the way
No one thought I would work this hard As far as they could see I was simply playing around They found it quite funny Well I've got news for you folks You can stop all your jokes Because this is my destiny
You can't take me down I'm not gonna stop now I'm heading for the top now You can't break me down I started as a long shot But then I found my sweet spot You can't make me frown There's nothing you can do or say I'm gonna take it all the way
No one thought I would be this good They said "It can't be true." They've all been wagering on my fall That's what I'm betting you Well I've got news for you fools Recall all your pools Cause this is what I'm meant to do
Aaaand
You can't take me down I'm not gonna stop now I'm heading for the top now You can't break me down I started as a long shot But then I found my sweet spot You can't make me frown There's nothing you can do or say I'm gonna take it all the way
No, you can't take me down I'm not gonna stop now I'm heading for the top now You can't break me down I started as a long shot But then I found my sweet spot You can't make me frown There's nothing you can do or say I'm gonna take it all the way
There's nothing you can do or say I'm gonna take it all the way

Meg grins. "Hey, can I take over piano for a bit?" "Sure." I said, in responce to Meg. I got off the keyboard and watched the others play their instruments and sing.

"Sure." I said, in responce to Meg. I got off the keyboard and watched the others play their instruments and sing. Meg waits for everyone to finish what they're playing and slowly launches into the opening of Bohemian Rhapsody.

I follow along with the Bohemian Rhapsody on my sax. Heck, go with the flow. Maybe I'll add a crazy jazz solo later on.

I climb up on stage and start singing right along with Ember. It's really fun, and I join the girl on the piano playing a makeshift duet.

Beej beckoned for Doms to come over to the drums. "Doms! Here! NOW!" She paused with the rest, and rejoined in the drums as Meg started playing a piece she didn't know.

Meg nods and finishes the last note of Bo Rhap and launches into the opening of "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" by meatloaf, her face screwed up in concentration

Beej shrugged happily. So what if Meg was playing songs she didn't know? It didn't take a lot of skill to drum to stuff she didn't know, just about any beat fit. She whaked her sticks several times on the different pads.

I came over to Beej. "What is it?"

Beej shouts back to Meg "Thanks!" she was really happy, since Meg was an excellent musician, to think that Beej was a good drummist was ... extraordinary. She turned to Doms. "I've got a miniature on of these." she stopped drumming momentarily and pulled out a smaller and less complicated version of her own drum machine. She picked up her drumsticks and resumed drumming. "Take a set of drumsticks from my bag, just not the taped ones, 'cause those are the set I use for band practice. Then, just bang on whatever pad you feel appropriate. ((There are 7, I think)) You've got everything in there, just make some noise!" She smiled and concentrated a bit harder on her drumming routine, as she started a drum roll. She still stared at Doms, waiting for her to start.

I start playing a tune on the clarinet to show how good I am. Then I play with everyone else.

I had no clue what song Meg was playing, so I just followed along, harmonizing her notes, sometimes echoing her, sometimes adding an occaisional five-second wild solo.

Emma is completely lost now that people are playing actual songs, so she goes back to the edge of the boat to watch the waves and just listen to the music.

I started fooling around with the drum machine, though very slowly because I wasn't used to drumming.
