I had a dream where my area manager told me I should start going to the gym. (It was still the exact same job I have right now, where I never lift anything heavier than a couple playstations. I work retail. Mostly I just get frustrated at the computers for not doing what I want them to do.) "But I walk to work every day?" sayeth I. "But you need to Get Stronk! To lift Boxes and also Ladders!", or something like that, was the response. The dream ended with me doing laps around the field from my old intermediate school.
(I am pretty sure the first half comes from a memory of a colleague when I worked at Disney. "You should go to the gym!" "Why?" "The ladies, Thorn! They'll love it!" I miss him sometimes, he was hilarious.)

Last night, I had a Steven Universe related dream. There were some series-running themes but it mainly has to do with the season 3 episode Mr. Greg, so don't read the spoiler box if you don't know the details! (Or don't care if you don't know, but really, the dream probably won't make much sense out of context.) So the non-spoiler part is that: Apparently, the producers had decided to entirely re-do the series, because there were some things they wanted to change and different directions they wanted to take, art-wise and story-wise. I was seeing it and seeing what they'd do differently. Art-wise, it was much the same, except it was a lot more... stylish? More shiny? I don't know how to describe it. Mr. Greg episode details: Dream didn't show me the first half of the episode. It actually starts out during Pearl's ballad "It's Over, Isn't It?". The sequence goes a bit differently, different dance moves, but otherwise more-or-less the same lyrics, and still on a balcony. She gets back to the main part of the balcony to sing the last part of the song, sings more...
"You won, and she chose you, and she loved you and she's goooooooone!"
...And then after singing that and throwing her rose, the song just abruptly ends, and Pearl falls to her knees and breaks down.
Aaaaand cue scene transition! That's right, Pearl's top-of-her-lungs ballad didn't wake anyone up, and if Steven saw, he didn't say anything. The scene transitions to something else for a while; I don't remember the details, but I don't think it had to do with Pearl, nor was Greg really involved. I realized that they wanted to end the episode differently than what they originally did.
Though not long after I realized that and the episode was nearing its end (in a way I don't remember, but I remember it was a lot more angsty and Serious than it was in the original), I went: "Hey, wait a minute! What about Greg's moment? What about 'Both of You?' Are you really skipping 'Both of You?' But they need that, they both need that, why are you taking it out of the episode??"
So basically, they took an episode about Greg and Pearl and their need to reconcile, and made it entirely about Pearl for the angst factor. I was not happy. xD I thought the art style revamp looked cool, though, but not worth a re-shoot of the series.

I haven't posted in this thread in forever, but last night's/this morning's dream was weird enough. I dreamed that I back in high school. But my dad had gotten this job where he changes locations between three places every week. And not locally. Like... different states. So, somehow, I was enrolled in three high schools at once, and having to change schools each week. Like: Week 1: School A; Week 2: School B; Week 3: School C; Week 4: School A, etc. So it was the first week of school at school A. Everything went pretty well.
My dream then skipped to week 4, my first week BACK at school A. School A had this weird scheduled where you went to different classes on different days/weeks, which meant there were classes I hadn't been to at all, and it was now a month into the school year. First I couldn't find the school itself. Then I couldn't find my schedule for that school. Then I was trying to find the right rooms. Next, I was unsure I was even in the right classes, since the classes changes depending on the day. So, for some reason, I didn't tell any of my teachers about this moving every week thing until the beginning of week 4, when everyone was wondering where I'd been the last two weeks. (Uh.... how did my parents not get called, and how did they not drop me from the roster?? Anyway...) Next, I nearly missed lunch AND a class because I couldn't figure out when lunch was and when the class associated with/closest to lunch was. Basically, by the end I was on the verge of tears (I'm surprised I WASN'T crying, honestly) and really stressed out. And I was trying to figure out solutions, like maybe I could take the same classes at each school, and hopefully the content would line up at least somewhat, so I wouldn't get to far behind, and then the dream just kind of ended.

Had a vaguely cohesive dream a few nights ago that seemed worth writing down.
Most of the beginning of the dream was a nightmare, because a group of friends and I were in this rented house that had been taken over by vampires. We ran away and were trapped, huddled in terror, for a while.
But luckily, one of my friends also turned out to be a werewolf. She turned into her big wolf form and confidently waltzed out to the room where most of the vampires were drinking and laughing and just generally having a raucous party in triumph over taking over the house.
And the werewolf grabbed a drink from the party table and raised it in a toasting kind of way. "Party's moving outside!" she called out, and started a merry train of very drunk vampires, who all tipsily followed her outside.
Unfortunately for them, however, the sun was rising, and they all turned to dust.

I had a dream last night that I was running a race against: a dromaeosaurid, Donkey Kong in a Kart, Sonic the Hedgehog, Iggy Koopa in the Clown Car, a tank, and one of the Cheetahmen.
I won the race.

Was riding along in a car in a strange part of town when all the sudden I noticed graffiti of Zathandra on a building. Actually, lots and lots of Zathandra graffiti, on buildings and walls and alleyways and everywhere. As well as spray painted messages and sketches. And I got really excited, this must be the part of town where Twillie lives! But I wasn't driving, and by the time I could get out of the car and stop and look around, we'd left that part of town, and I was too lost to find my way back to investigate further. I did find a marching band parading down the street, though.

I had a dream that I was downtown, and saw then talked to Richard Branson. I don't quite remember what we talked about, but it was fun. I even got a selfie with him, if I remember right! Surprised that my mind rejected the possibility of it being a dream at the time. And no doubt that the dream was inspired by a recent occurrence of another certain billionaire being in my state...

I had a dream where I was playing some typical FNAF freeroam fangame where you're in a house trying to escape from Springtrap. Except one time, instead of a jumpscare, he just handed me a small envelope and walked away. I examined the envelope to find the words "For engagement (not business)" on it, and a ring on the inside. So, curious as to what would happen, I shout, "SPRINGTRAP! I WANT TO MARRY YOU!" He shows up again and lovingly puts the ring on my finger.

My strangest dream was when a character from a TV show was driving me home through space as "Walking Through Th Air" was playing on the radio.
I dreamt last night I was in an art class painting a poster or something, and this evil lady wouldn't leave me alone and kept pulling my hair.

Me: *Dodges Steven Universe spoilers IRL because I haven't even seen the movie, much less anything of SU Future.* Brain: "Fine, you get spoilers in dream form!" ...Except I don't think they were actually spoilers, but I was convinced they were. I'll spoilerbox just in case, because I have run into a couple, but I'll keep them vague in the dream just in case they're too apparent. So, it's the series finale of Steven Universe, and he needs to put up one more fight against... something. I don't know what or who it was. But one of the first scenes were all of the other Crystal Gems (well, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl; I think the dream forgot about the others) lying dead. It took me a while to go "wait, the only way for them to die is to be shattered, and their gems are still there! If anything they're unconscious! Inconsistency!". But at the time, I was blaming the show, not the fact that I was in a dream.
So Steven goes off (possibly with Connie) to stop that last Big Bad and at least preserve what he does still have, even if his family's dead! ("Dang, this show got dark.") So they go and fight. And they win! I assume. My dream didn't actually show me the details.
Next part is the follow-up, where the Big Bad is defeated, and Steven's sadly sitting on the beach, mourning his family and friends and pondering what to do now. Connie comes along to try to cheer him up and suggest some things, and noting that they at least still have each other.
Somehow, this turns into Steven and Connie forming a band, performing wacky and comical songs. They're at a big cafe doing their gig, each with a guitar, and Steven doing goofs with his guitar like pretending his fingers are stuck in the strings but managing to play anyway. The audience is amused and applauds! It seems to be working! Except then Steven breaks a string, and someone goes "what kind of musician are you?!".
But y'know, it seems like despite that setback, they have a bright future ahead of them as bandmates.

-I was a man in this dream. -I had a wife and two kids. -I was running from PEOPLE!!!! The company was called Palisade, which is the name of the security company in the book I'm currently reading, who are chasing the protagonist in that. So at least I know where that came from! -Also...I could turn into a bird! So I flew away and lived across town for a while. -They...found me again! -Me and my imaginary waifu threw these kids in a bush (this is how you can tell I'm not a parent), turned into birds again, and flew off to get ourselves captured but not our imaginary kids. So heroic!!!! -Imaginary kids still got left in the middle of a forest in some bushes though. -This sounds like the next Generic Blockbuster Action Movie script: the same plot as always, but with birds!!! (If I hadn't woken up I'm sure my fake wife would have died. You know how these plots go.)

I had a dream last night.
In it I was watching a movie sequel.
It had the most ridiculous sequel title since 'The Lion King 11/2'.
All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 II!
It seemed to be a sequel to the sequel but without being a true third installment. It was like: All Dogs Go to Heaven 2: The Second Part!

Last night, I dreamed there was a dramatic change in society. Namely, there were robots (who got around on sorta unicycles but were somehow unaffected by stairs) with rectangular faces a la the Gunnerkrigg seraph robots, and a body I don't really remember. These robots had gone all around and taken over all the household jobs and chores everywhere. They would do all the cleaning and household work for people.
Thing is, they do this without peoples' permission. They just kinda came in and started working, and talking to people as if they were doing them a great service. Without taking like, any constructive criticism or direction. So they'd clean up an entire room or storage room on their own accord. For example, in my parent's house, there's this really overfull tiny storage room in my house. At one point in the dream, the robot was rolling by with a box of stuff, and the storage room was. Completely empty. Nothing but an empty shelf inside.
People were all for this change at first, because hey, someone or something is doing chores for me, and wants to! (The robots also seem to have a personality, for they have their own preferences and opinions that aren't just programmed.) And like, they talked to people in a casual way, so hey, companionship! But after a while, they realized that these robots... weren't really taking any direction? So the place was not how people liked it or were convenient for them. And humans felt they... didn't have much to do.
In the dream, I started looking through the eyes of some guy on the other end of this. And he was super upset that he basically had nothing to do, no purpose. The robots had purpose, sure, but they were leaving the humans with nothing.
At one point, the guy sought out a way to give himself and other humans a purpose. And I thiiink (I don't entirely remember at this point), he took up a secret identity. Something that made him almost like a robot, and then he could go and do the chores, giving himself purpose! And it was his goal to maintain that purpose, and to establish a purpose for all the humans, allowing humans to have enrichment!
Thus... Was the rise of...!
...I don't know, this person never gave himself a name, but assume it's some superhero name in this strange rebellion against the robots.

A bit more sad than weird, but last night my dreams convinced me that a youtuber I watch passed away. Not the first time this kind of dream has happened (the.... third time now actually?), but unlike the others this one actually affected me a bit (in dream, at least) x3 I think it's because I fell asleep listening to a video of hers where she gave some life updates and shared future dreams of hers, so the feeling of waking up the very next day to hear that she suddenly passed was just all the more tragic. It was also that layered kind of dream, where it repeatedly felt like I was waking up but not actually doing so. The whole time I had a suspicion that I was dreaming and that this person was actually alright, but I just couldn't fully get awake. After a few times of feeling like I woke up and still seeing the same news, I started crying figuring it was real. The most suspicious thing happened then, though, because while it was heavy crying, there weren't any tears.
Noticing this helped me finally wake up, and once I actually did, I wasn't crying or even felt upset, and a quick check told me that said youtuber is indeed alright.
Another dream I had this week was sort of an AU to AtlA Book Three. It's when Aang is disguised as Kuzon in The Headband episode, although this time he actually has Fire Nation parents? In this reality, apparently there really is a kid named Kuzon that Aang is impersonating, and he somehow convinced Kuzon's parents that he's their son.
It's not long before Aang is outed as the avatar to his "parents" and the surrounding community, but this doesn't give away his true identity. Instead, everyone believes that Kuzon is the avatar, probably figuring that 100 years ago that Air Nation avatar died, then the Southern Raiders took out the next Water Tribe avatar, and the Earth Kingdom avatar after that died of... old age I guess? Without ever outing themself?
Upon discovering this and thinking their son is the next avatar, Aang's "parents" take this pretty well actually. They struggle a little in the background accepting that their son now has this higher responsibility to the world, but they're still supportive and encouraging as "Kuzon" starts his avatar training. After the first lesson, Aang figures he should leave town soon before it's too late. There was an arbitrary reason he had to leave within two days' time, but upon hearing that Princess Azula was coming to meet him, Aang's just like, "Yeah time to get out of here NOW."
The dream ended before he made his escape, though xD
