Well, english wasen't proving extremly productive (blasted poetry!) and so I thought I'd doodle instead. It's acutaly somethig from an upcoming story where I have an angry Harri. I tried to make him look angry, but he just looks...not angry. I have to point out that if someone famliar AT ALL with dog anatomy could help me with his back, I'd be quite happy. Though I do have anatomy and bone structer books at home, at school I don't...and even so I don't understand the shoulder joint idea (*winkwink--Greeeneeeeyyy?--winkwink*). www.deviantart.com/deviation/4960192/Cheesy text because I'm a cheesy, cheesy person.

Hmm...you're right. He doesn't look angry at all. He looks more like he is mildly annoyed because one of his siblings has played a joke on him. You know that look, right?

Do I hear a cry for help? NEVER FEAR, GREENEY IS HERE!!! Alrighty, first off, his facial features aren't aligned right. This is a problem I have trouble with too, so my redline on that may not be the best. My advice for that area is to get some photos of dog's muzzles at an angle so you can get a feel for placement. The cranium is also a little large, methinks. The shoulder area is kinda hard for me to see, but I think I did an okay job redlining. I don't normally reccommend "How to Draw" books, but there's this REALLY awesome book by Jack Hamm called How To Draw Animals, and it helped me loads. It's not one of those cheapy "follow these steps and have an octopus!" books, this actually goes blow by blow and takes apart the basic anatomy and underlying shapes involved in drawing most animals, as well as tips and tricks for anatomy. It doesn't tell you what to draw, instead, it teaches you the fundamental structure so you can go out and apply that knowledge in your own pictures. Okay, now that I'm finished sounding like an advertisement... heh. I think I may have over redlined (I have a tendancy to do that ), so take everything with a healthy grain of salt. I hope this helps, Linny!
