[glow=red,2,300]Oooh, can I be the rabid trophy unicorn?

And yes, 3 cheers for Feli, for putting up with the headache I wouldn't put up with if you paid me![/glow]

Yea, Feli is the best editor around. And like rider was saying, Kudos to her for putting up with that mondo headache. But I still stick with what I said. I'm not a reg and I still find this a little unfair in some ways. As for my last comic, I know it was good, but I'm begging to wonder if it was put in just because I'm still a relatively new author. I'm probably not the only one who feels this way, but maybe I am. It's great to get into the NT in anyway. But.... it's a little disheartening thinking that your piece may of gotten in just because you are new

[glow=red,2,300]This isn't a question of ReallyConfused, TPPR, or any of that stuff, really. This isn't a question of, "OMG NOW THE TIMES IS GONNA BE LIKE BAD CUZ N00BS SUK!!" This is a question of fairness. Equality. If (somehow) some ReallyConfused comics totally reeked of rotten Durian, I'd say "Feli, why in the name of flippin' Flotsams is that in there?" If (by some rare chance) Tomi somehow screwed up a TPPR, I'd say, "Begone comic! Bwa!" If something of mine was terribly written and a little n00bish, and I sent it in without realizing, I'd hope Felicia would reject it and accept a better story instead. It's all about fairness. Everyone playing on a level field.[/glow] Just one question Rider. Do you even know what a durian smells like? Anyway, I agree with everyone of Rider's points. My only problem is that it seems like the better stories are being pushed aside to make room for the less good stories. I don't mind newbs getting in. I won't mind if an issue is dedicated to new authors (and if we are notified beforehand, so no one gets upset). I will mind if some good works and taken out because the author has been in a lot. I know I probably will get in again, but I don't really support the idea.

Okay, off topic, but I wanted to say this anyway, a durian smells like a dead skunk that was only fed limburger cheese in a sewer that hasn't been cleaned for a year. The worst part is you can always tell when a durian has been in a car, hotel room, or building. You can smell it long after it has been removed.

Okay, honestly, this thread is starting to annoy me. RC DIDN'T GET IN THIS WEEK, SO WHAT?! I can imagine how you guys would react if RC wasn't in another NT issue because it was rejected. It's a great comic, but that still doesn't mean we have to start an ENTIRE thread about it not getting in this week's issue. And yet, you guys continue discussing about this pointless topic which is quite irritating in the end. Just please, drop it. If you guys wanna discuss the new publishing policy, go to the Discussions and Debates thread. Sorry for acting non-Blubbeh like, but i'm not in the best mood.

Well, yes, I'll admit that people are overreacting. I noticed RC wasn't in this week, and I was like "Huh. That's too bad, but I'm sure it'll be back," and I didn't give it much more thought until I came here. True, it's an totally awesome kick-butt comic, but it doesn't have to be in all the time. If Felicia has to hold it over, she can. If Stone ever needs to take a break from drawing them, by all means let him! But this thread has veered away from its original point, Blub. Now it's about the new NT policy about the newbs and regulars, and that's what most of the posts are about. And it's not overreacting to post about the policy, since it affects all of us.

Hmm. Well, firstly, just for the record, my mom eats durian, and likes it. Apparently, while incredibly stinky, it's healthy and good for your skin. I don't eat it. Anyway, well, it's not in, it's not in. And you know what else? In a way I'm glad. I've been really tinkleed off before because I was held over and someone else got in like two or three entries in an issue. It's just Stone's turn to be held over is all. Though that may seem harsh, it's true. We can't all be in.

Just because you sensitive-nosed guys can't stand it doesn't mean it doesn't!

First of all Stone wasn't rejected, he simply just sent his comic in a little too late. I think anything sent after Saturday was saved for 158. So it wouldn't have been all that fair to others who sent their submission on a Sunday or Monday. Besides, Stone had a great article published. Look for RC in 158.

[glow=red,2,300]This isn't about RC.
As much as I love Stone's comic, this is about the new rule.
And thanks for the description of a durian, MK. ;D[/glow]

I think at this point we just need to sit back and see what really comes of this and not worry too much about it in the mean time.
