[glow=red,2,300]Trust me, Stoney. I know what it's like when something that you really want in gets rejected/held over/eaten by the submission form twice. (Sorry if I'm being a pain, I'm just nervous and frustrated I was so dang cocky, so confident that this would be the week. Why? 'cause of a stupid 8 Ball.)[/glow] Try a Ouija board. It seems more reliable... Then again you could always try the Island Mystic... (Sorry if I'm kinda grumpy, but I only recently started writing articles again, having had writer's block for months and now... it seems pointless to even try.)

(Sorry if I'm kinda grumpy, but I only recently started writing articles again, having had writer's block for months and now... it seems pointles to even try.) It's not pointless at all. Just becaue some newbies are going to be accepted more often doesn't mean that all your work will be rejected. Your still one of the best NT writers and people would be upset if you stopped.

I still don't like that rule. **thbbbbbbbbt** My thoughts are on the "New Submission FOrm" thread and I'm sticking to 'em.

Here's the rant for you inquiring minds:
I'm not sure about the frequently-published-authors-not-being-accepted thing. Entries should be accepted because they're good, no matter how often their author has been published. It's like how **cough** n00bs **cough** like to complain about frequently-published authors getting in because they've been in so much in the past, but in reverse. It's just as unfair, though. And I don't like it. (And I didn't get enough sleep last night, so I'm sorry if I sound too harsh.)

If I ran Neopia, I would make sure that all of Stone's stuff got in, every week! He'd have his own section in the NT! And I would also have a cool hat. =b
Okay, what I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry that Really Confused didn't make it in this week, Stone, and I hope it'll get in next week. I did like the article, though. =)

I did like the article, though. =) Yeah, I know-- I hope I didn't sound ungrateful and all-- because I really DO consider myself to have been lucky to have been published as much as I have. But I agree with Tenn. The old system worked fine-- Felicia had a balance of regulars AND newcomers-- with the emphasis always on QUALITY-- and how many times a person was PREVIOUSLY published didn't count. The message here is that no matter how good your stuff is, it will be put on the backburner to make way for inferior stuff to "give others a chance". I'm all for giving newcomers a chance-- as long as quality remains high. But simply penalizing someone based on their trophy count isn't exactly fair either. But we also have to remember that this is NOT the way Felicia wants it. She is simply following orders. She argued against this new policy. We need to understand this important point. And... as others have said, we simply have to keep submitting and hoping for the best. Maybe in a few weeks-- or even a few months-- the "Powers That Be" will realize that this new policy is not beneficial to the overall quality of the Neopian Times and will allow Felicia to do her job (which she does wonderfully) without any more interference.

I think thats really a shame that your comic is not being used this week. On the other hand, I am one of those writers trying to get in and has been rejected multiple times. I think you all deserve to get in due to quality, but you guys have pretty high standards if you haven't noticed. ;D It really is a shame though.

It's only one bloody week without RC. I don't think its at the end yet. Yeah, I know. It just seems...wrong. I mean, the NT without Really Confused is like a chocolate sundae without chocolate. It just doesn't seem right. Sorry if I'm over-reacting a bit, but I love Really Confused...

Sorry if I'm over-reacting a bit, but I love Really Confused... I agree it is a bit weird without Really Confused. And I wasn't talking about you, I was talking generally just in case you thought otherwise.
