As some of you may know, I go on a P2P(people to people) trip this summer in July(Yes, you all will miss me!) and I jsut got back from a delegation meeting. And the departure times are final. I leave at 9:30 PM Eastern Time, and arrive back here at 3:20. So that got me thinking that our fellow NTWFers might have diffrent opinions on the flight times.
Do you like your flight at night? I LOVE flight at night!

I've never been on an airplane... What's a P2P trip? People to People was organized a little over 40 years ago to send very bright and intelligent student's to new places. I got a letter in October saying someone nominated me, and i got a letter in March saying I am definatly accepted.

At least, I think it's the same organization. Mine was some sort of students' forum at the capitol, organized by President Reagan's granddaughter, or someone. (I also got accepted into Duke TIP, but again, I can't go because it's too exprensive. Grr...) Anyways, back on topic. I went to China last year, and I had to wake up around six in the morning to catch the plane, which is rather early for me. I'd rather leave around noon, especially for very long journeys like the, what, twenty-four hours to China!

I've only been on an aeroplane once and it departed at 9:30 am. It was great. We had croissonts for breakfast and we also had jam in a little pot to dip them in. It was delicious! The flight itself was steady with little turbulance so my experience with planes has been a good one so I don't think I'd really mind when my next flight departed.

I've technically been on 4 airplane trips in my life, all of them during the day, but I would probably love flying at light.

I think I've probably been on over 10 plane trips in my life. I go to China every 2/3 years. I like going sometime in the middle, because I find it hard to sleep on a plane (and my ears always hurt after).

There were a lot of us going on holiday and nearly every one of us got after effects from the plane. My uncle's nose hurt him. I think it was the sinuses. And my parents got headache too. And we were only on the plane a couple of hours too!

I've never been on a plane, but I'd prefer to get an early flight.

I've been on some plane trips (in fact my family loves to travel and it's almost every year)
I voted for anywhere in the middle, but if I had to choose between 6 AM, and 12 PM, I'd choose 12 PM, because if the flight is too early you have to be in the airport even earlier!! *yawn*

I've been on an airplane way too many times to count. I really hate flying, though - my ears always hurt like mad afterwards, even when I chew gum. However, if I had a choice, I would definitely choose a night flight. Yesterday when I was flying home I saw fireworks from the sky; it was so beautiful. Seeing lightning from above the clouds is a very interesting experience, too, as well as city lights... in the daytime, all you can see is farmland and a rivers . Not very fascinating. I hate flying on Southwest airlines, too. You have to get there three hours ahead of time to get a good seat. I prefer assigned seating... because then you also have the option of first class ^_~. First class is pretty spiffy.

I've only been on one trip that involved planes, and that was during the day, so I've never been on a night flight.
It'd be fun to go on one sometime, though.

Depends. I prefer overnight for international flights (sleeping breaks up some of the monotony), late morning or evening for domestic. I say late morning because I hate getting up early and evening because it gives me more time to do stuff before I leave.
